You need to make sure to have it on a flask with at least 2 uses. I had it on a Sulphur flask, meaning I could use it 3 times, which is more then enough. Buying a Chemist's Sulphur flask of Heat on poe.trade is definitely worth it, with 21-25% reduced charges used you can use it 4 times.

After earning some currency in addition to acquiring a couple of the items while farming on my starter (ST slayer), I chanced a skyforth and started trying to figure what a good second build would be. Settled on this one, even though it probably doesn't need the skyforth. Anyway, managed to get the DPS to 1.3mm with this gear:

I've had a lot of fun, though it is a little squishy with only 6.7k ES. Bosses melt pretty quick up to T14 maps. I've beaten red elder, haven't tried shaper or uber elder yet but only because I don't like to buy maps and I haven't yet gotten any guardian maps. I'll likely give that a try this weekend, I don't think I have many upgrades left (at least significant ones) so whatever currency I farm up, I can just blow on guardian maps for a shaper set. I am pretty bad at determining whetehr a rare wand would beat piscator's or not. Can anyone help me figure out a good one of all the listed ones? I can spend like 30ish chaos on it but I would not be looking for wand upgrades after that.

" There are rare wands that outperform Piscators, but they will be more expensive than a Piscator with a decent corruption. I bought a wand where someone isolated the pen/flat mod with an orb of anullment, will cost you 2ex extra for the multimodding though. Buying complete wands on poe.trade will be even more expensive. |

" The easiest thing to do is to just plug it into POB. Import your build and then craft a new rare item with the stats you see on poe.trade. One thing I've noticed is that you'll likely need to spend at least 100c to get a better wand than piscator's. Mine was 1ex. Bought it a couple of days ago and I believe it was around 15% more DPS. |

Sometimes you can get a bargain wand like that 16% more dps for 70c (plus recrafting of the mod). Piscator's corruptions are generally bad, since it will be a lot more expensive, and if you are using Crown of Eyes you lose out on a lot of increased damage due to implicit change. And if you are on a budget, then paying 4-15c for 4-6% more dps is definitely worth it. Vast, vast majority of 2-100ex wands fall in 6-15% more dps category, definitely not worth it. Any time of the day you can find one good wand under 1 ex that will give you 12-18% more dps. That's of course without even checking the wands that don't have a listed price. If you see one with high spell damage roll, you can bet they will count it as a junk mod and sell it cheaper, unless of course they've not only seen but also read this thread down to Crown of Eyes gear section, which is unlikely. I bough my Incursion wand for 30c and this wand in Bestiary for around 20-50c: Incursion one is 17.8% more dps then your Piscator's and nearly 200 ES, while Bestiary is 19.3% more dps. I've never paid more then 50c for a wand. If you want to spend only up to 30c on a wand, compare the best wands that don't have listed price at the bottom and offer them 30c, starting from the best wand you can find. What do you think of my gear now?
https://pastebin.com/PS4k1WND The obvious changes are this new amulet that game me like +10% total dps, tho I had to recraft some of my items to fill for the missing +40str from my last amu. Bought it for 2ex. This really cool 6l chest also cost me about 2ex, was really lucky to get it Also I bought some really cool jewels for some high price, but still haven't replaced a couple of too low dps ones Bought this wand for 99vaal orbs and 30c (yeah that was a strange offer. Wand was listed 1.4ex, I don't think anyone lost from such deal) Seems insane dps boost, but the thought that I won't be able to run phys ref maps terrifies me. Started doing t14+ with this gear, feels really easy :) I don't think there's something really missing and that what I should buy next are some expensive abyss jewels and then something that probably costs 10+ex :D What are your thoughts on what I should upgrade next and my character itself? |

I dont understand one thing (im noob at this game)
In 87 level pastebin, kinetick blast skill dps and total dps is both 85367.9. In 90 level pastebin, kinetick blast skill dps is 66835,6 and total dps is 169087,8. how is calculated that 170 k total dps? what makes the diference between 85k dps and 170k dps? Can someone explain me that pls? |

"I'm not exactly sure which pastebins are you comparing, if you post them here or edit your post I'll have a look and try to explain the difference. @Slandsj1o I'm just checking your character, will edit this post once I see what you have there :) Alright, if you are ok with sacrificing a little bit of ES (only 200 if you get jewels with 30 flat ES), and ready to spend a little bit on 2 more Abyss jewels, then you can drop Melding, drop Wandslinger, and get 2 point jewel socket near Vaal Pact as well as jewel and Power charge node above Witch start. Also there's an option of getting Dying Sun and rebalancing your resists for Wise Oak, this will be a big dps and also clearspeed boost. Amulet/Wand/Belt look honestly great. Jewels with attack speed on crit are also very strong, plus try to get at least one Abyss jewel with Blind on Hit, its really strong defensively.
