It increases your initial hit damage, but damage over time can't penetrate. Poison uses the base damage of the hit, but is scaled seperately - and that scaling doesn't include penetration.
The only thing you can do is lower enemy resistances (i.e. via Despair).

Hi, can you help me with craft rare claw? I made claws without stat "60% chance for Poisons inflicted with this Weapon to deal 100% more Damage". My damage has not increased. I understand that without this it makes no sense.

You need to craft with Corroded fossils or you can't roll the mod. If you don't have it, it's nearly impossible for a claw to be better than Wasp Nest.
The best way to craft is by using 2-socket resonators with Corroded and Aberrant fossils. Best claw base is an ilvl 83+ Elder Imperial Claw.

My Hieroptant with 5k hp and 3k mana gets Oneshot.

See you use acro, therefore not much mitigation.

Not all of them, I've seen people with 10k life get oneshot.

Blind and Acro does help a lot against getting bursted down by multiple hits.

very good build!
after realizing that my trapper is sqooshy for betrayal i decided to reroll my saboteur to an assasin. m doing ur build now and the damage is ok. i found some really good poison jewels with max life that are really cheap this league.

i tweeked ur build a little bit.
got an amulet with 60+ intelligence ( saved me 2 points on the tree)

im gonna take all the poison damage / damage over time nodes that i can reach.

after i level a little bit ill try to get my self som good shaper claw and elder rings/ enchant and lastly maybe a +1 curse amulet so i can use witchfire brew fot some serious damage boost along side with my cwdt enfeeble :)

Uhm yeah you're using the wrong gloves - you want the ones with fire damage.

Other than that you can get like 25% more damage from quality/leveling your gems and another 60% from using a Delve fossil claw.

I changed the gloves. The damage is ever noticeably better and that poison is now stacked noticeably. Now I have to level my gems and build a claw
