[3.6] Acid Molten Strike Assassin - Uber Elder-viable Poison Build

Check out this sick claw I just bought for 12 ex.

I know it isn't Elder, and has added flat phys instead of % phys, so maybe not BiS, but damn it's nice.



I have 6% chance to Blind on hit via Abyss Jewel as well as 8% chance to gain Onslaught on kill with another Abyss Jewel, so now I have 18% to gain Onslaught on kill, which makes me comfortable with dropping a Silver Flask in favor for Dying Sun / Basalt depending on the content I'm running.

I also was able to fit in Vaal Grace and now Phase Run bc swapped things around so Shield Charge is in my claw and I don't need to use Faster Attacks.

I am running Temporal Chains / Blasphemy / Enhance 4 / Phase Run in my gloves, and the Vaal Grace in the CWDT setup so it benefits from the Increased Duration.

well i did all maps, killed all bosses (except uber-elder and atziri) and it was alot of fun! defently had a great time playing it and most fun-build in the league! :)

Can the "60% chance..." Poison mods stack? I'm still rolling the nest, but having a blast eating through everything. When/if I get a better claw I can only imagine..

Could u guys help meh thou? How to craft that claw. Mean step by step. Should I first find 81ilvl base, then using alterations find needed 2 suff/aff? Pretty new to PoE.never used craft that far

was playing with it in last league
and after bestiary items where added to this league i ,i made this build again but with chaos version, feels amazing

and i have few questions: assasin has better DPS solo if we can hit in long term right?
so what y will say about pathfinder?
it hase same mode as in claws ( i am talking about 60% poison deal 100% more daamge- pathfinder has 40%)
so ...maybe pathfinder can be little better then assasin ?

I'd really like to thank you for this build.
It ismy first league and second char. First was a BV Inpulsa Trickster that ended up as a massive fail (for bossing) so I was convinced not to be able to do anything this league... until i saw your guide !

It allowed me to:
- kill all 3 Delves bosses at 300+.
- kill Uber Elder at the 3rd try last night which shows how strong the build is :)
Only Uber Atziri left now I guess.

Gearing is cheap but interesting (ie there is always room for improvements due to the very low number of required uniques)
Another important point for me, and for all new players, fossil crafting is easy af so you won't need to spend 10+ ex of fossils to get a decent helm/belt...

So now either I will try to max this char (MS enchant...) or finish the shadow theme with a Sab

A math teacher at my work says that if the poison mods do stack the second 60% poison mod would factor on the remaining 40% to NOT do the more damage. Meaning it would be 96% more poison damage. Still not sure if this is how they stack though.

I'm trying to craft the fossil claw, and it's not that easy. I'm trying to do aberrant and corroded at once, is this the best way? I keep getting bleed mods....

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but there's one mod for poison and one for bleeding.

If you dual-wield claws, you'll alternate between weapons which means you can only get the chance from each individual weapon.

You should spam Delve Resonators with Corroded/Aberrant fossils in them (it's the best way afaik), if you use anything other than that you cannot roll the poison mods.
After you use them you can enhance them further with crafting benches or exalted orbs.

Buying is an option to avoid RNG, but I would say on average it's cheaper to craft your own.

its not my native language

I did a comparison before I knew of fossil mods and would say Assassin is still better based on that.
If you factor in fossil weapons, Assassin would be another 12% ahead if they stack additively with Master Toxicist. I'm assuming they do since that's the case for every other chance-based mechanic.
