" While I agree that GGG could definitely give more microtransaction points per real world dollars, at least with PoE's mystery boxes they eventually become available in the microtransaction store after a month. Other games, cough Overwatch cough, their loot box specials become rare forever...so it really feels like gambling in that instance. Even though I'm personally opposed to the implementation of loot boxes in any game, it should still be remembered that they are a tool in the box for game developers. And at the end of the day this game is still free to play and thankfully the microtransactions have no significant bearing over gameplay. You can still experience everything there is to experience in PoE without paying a single cent. I'm also completely disinterested in races so none of this means much to me...but it should be remembered that it is Tencent (PoE's Chinese publisher) that is doing the cash prize race and they can afford to. I understand these things are likely scheduled in advance, but in light of the catastrophic things going on in the game, surely a higher priority would be fixing this debacle. No, instead it's a good idea to give more elitists some cash money and pretend everything is fine while tons of the player base melt away disillusioned.... I loved Path of Exile.
I do not love Path of RNG. Bloom gives me migraines, the over usage of darkness strains my eyes. Save our game, remove all of the constant RNG and allow us to turn off Bloom or give us an in game brightness control! |

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT DUPES. THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT THE AVERAGE PLAYER PARTICIPATING IN AN EVENT. So some people are pissed because they were not invited to the Olympic Games. They are pissed because they were not invited to the World Cup. The Olympic Games is not about you. The World Cup is not about you. And this race is not about you. This is also not about picking people because they are popular. I've run over 1200 races. I don't know any of these people, but I recognize some of the names because they are consistently damn good racers even when RNG doesn't fall in their favor. I dare anyone saying stuff like that to kill Piety or Kitava in the time allowed. I doubt if most of them could do it even if they started with a stash full of uber gear. Forget about Bestiary and dupes for a while and just enjoy what the game has to offer. Enjoy watching the best of the best. There is a saying that the best compliment is "You make it look easy". These guys will make it look easy. The things they do will look very much like what you do. But try to do it yourself, in the same amount of time, and you won't even come close. |

For fks sake GGG, can you quit groveling to your precious streamers long enough to fix your GD game. Nearly every person I see on the forums bought your latest supporter packs well before beastiary launched and crashed in flames, I personally dont buy the supporter packs b/c I hate the outfits but I own every type of premium tab and a mtx outfit, weapon skin, footprint etc. You make money hand over fist and you love to remind us in-game every hour about your latest MTX for sale so how about using some of that doe for the game. Stop priortizing the next cash grab and get back to what made this game great, caring about the product. PoE always stood out b/c it was the only actual f2p game with a cash shop that didnt leave you feeling naked and abused a month into playing. What does learning how to perform one specific narrow job, have to do with overall intelligence, critical thinking capabilities, creativity etc? Like...?
