Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?
"Oi! I'll have you know that I still get one every league in ssf. If I play, that is. Sanctum made it easy for me to play the actual Hades again but surely She'll get to burn my hands in 3.21. Last edited by Ulsarek on Dec 13, 2022, 11:05:08 AM

" Oh, I suspect She'll be there. On that same old beach, somewhere lost in the Fringe between realities. And maybe if the new campaign proves less than patently superior to the old, someone will take the Long Steps to find Her. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable. " I absolutely will make the effort. I am a terrible farmer and hate to grind away in maps. OG allows me to get it over early and have a great known reward. "Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk." Rumi

A bit late this time around but it was bound to happen. Let the fun begin.

What's the appeal of this very boring sword anyway?

" Most fun I ever had playing PoE was with this sword. The sword alone scales damage very nicely through the acts but what made it so much extra fun was the comments made by the sword through the storyline. Very fun with excellent wit and humor!! Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

Heh, neat.
I think targeted boss grinds (i.e. confirmed drop from a boss at some fairly low chance) are the most palatable intersection of ARPG (where drops are almost always random to preserve the thrill of 'any spin could be a winner folks') and MMORPG (where predictable repetition is rewarded with guaranteed results). It's good if you want a bit of both sensations: the gamble and the grind. The gamble goes from 'it could be any spin' to 'will it be this time?' and the grind goes from 'once I finish this dungeon I'm walking away with some sweet, sweet loot' to 'one more spin of the wheel then'. PoE is hardly the first ARPG to do it but it's the first to provide one at pretty much the lowest level possible. The whole thing reminds me of those contests you might see in a mall where you can enter a raffle or somesuch to win a car on display. It's almost never THAT great of a car, not compared to what you could buy if you won the lottery or had a really crazy-good streak at the races or a casino, but there it is for pretty much any passer-by to have a shot at. With the exception, of course, that at no point in this mall stroll are passers-by told that if they walk around the empty space enough times the car will manifest. I always lamented that there was no way to signpost any of it -- that's why I wanted there to be a chance that so-called uber hillock could spawn *even on a person's first run*. Then they'd see this monstrous game-ender, tell someone about it, but of course everyone else would be like 'dude u high that didn't happen' BUT then someone else would do it on stream or get a screenshot, and then...then people would know hang on, there's a chance of this thing spawning...if we just play Twilight Strand enough... Sadly GGG weren't willing to commit to that, probably because a) it might scare off a potential future Ruler (lol), and b) bots would have a field day, probably. Still, that's how it should have been done. That way you could have scored OG at any point during the grind, just at a very...very....very......very low chance for the first 4-5 levels. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.
