pls improve Champion ascendency !!!!

An actual post which doesn't involve nerfs? What kind of wizardry is this? This is the first step in the right direction towards making the game more fun to play. Good job.

I did enjoy playing as the Assassin the most out of the Shadow classes but still felt it lacking. A lot of the ascendancy classes feel this way and you get pigeonholed into one, so I'm glad to see this happening! Thanks GGG!

I faithfully use Champion on my main character but I've always read that it's the least useful Duelist ascendancy - I've never bothered to run a Slayer and only just recently tried Gladiator.



Not to say I wouldn't ideally like for improvements for the Champion. Hehe.

People think it is bad because it... is bad. At least when you compare it with pre 3.0 poison assassin. Now this build is almost dead. And yes, I saw your build on forum and took a look on your char. Hmmm, I know that old assassin was much stronger with poison, but now he isn't bad. U said I cant kill shaper coz of character, check mathil video "Wasp Nest Assassin". What a magic, he did it with less survivability and some less damage. I didn't kill him coz I tried just 1 time with this character and few times in early leagues as raider, berserker, slayer, still can't kill him (I know i'm noob but connection problems can't help me too). About uber atziri I can say nothing, never tried her. Guards were killed so not much times coz of I can't keep up map drop. Almost all T16 maps I bought on poe.trade. And I did it all in last day coz of now i am not at home and will back in March. I'm not justified, I'm just explaining.

I think old assassin was imbalance, now he isn't imbalance but still not bad. Not super very strong boss killer, but really not so bad. I do not want to impose my opinion on you, I just expressed my. Maybe in 3.2 I will finally kill shaper with this build and will confirm my words on my own example. Good luck!

He's half good ( crit ) and half bad I would say ( poison nodes meh ). Unless someone really makes a poison build to works in next league, maybe new unique item or something.

- They combined ambush and assassinate, that's nice.
- Opportunistic: reflect immune irrelevant, damage increase / reduction irrelevant in many situations and it does nothing for mapping, movement speed is nice.
- Unstable infusion change is nice, but not really relevant.
- Deadly infusion not changed.
In other words, assassin remains the same, but we get "free" opportunistic node.

How does it compare to OP changes that hiero got? It's laughable to me. Sure it can be GG for guardians farming etc, but that's it. Also let's not forget about terrible defenses. Unless of course there is something about poison we don't know yet, I don't think it will be that good.

Well they are different in the way they need to be. Hiero is so op really? Looks like a totem character, probably good for league start, totems/MoM/tank etc, but boring gameplay.

Soon or later we want to crit and explode everything in the screen, so assassin its definately a better/fun choice.

That's it. Classes being both good and different for different gameplays/situations. I'm fine with that.

I hope occultist will be as good as hierophant, and focused on curses.
