[3.1] iemukot's Molten Strike Necromancer

Most Tanky Melee Witch in 3.1!

3.2 changes (WIP)

Ascendancy Changes:
- Bone Offering nerfed (-17% block chance, -300 life gain on block)
- Chaos resist removed
- take Invoker and Puppet Master instead of Beacon of Corruption and Spirit Eater

Noticeable Uniques:
- The Effigon (can't be evaded by blinded enemy, add fire damage and 10% penetrate fire res): Maybe we can get reliable blind chance by wolves (thanks to Scourge) with blind gem and stack of abyss jewel

Intro:
Necromancer is my favorite class. Because she has nice survivability (thanks to offering, minion and all resist). In 3.1, I cleared almost all of contents with this build. Molten Strike is very good skill for single target and mob packs. I think Necromancer is decent choice for melee build now.

Build Features:
- Melee Necromancer build
- 100% Physical to Fire conversion, 103% Penetrate, Elemental Overload
- Very tanky (6.5K+ life, 600+ life regen, 90% physical damage reduction, 75/44 block)
- Decent single target DPS
- Fast clear speed (not so fast like meta build)
- cost 3~5ex (Watcher's Eye: 1ex, 2 abyss socket Tombfist: 1~2ex, 6L Astral Plate: 1ex, others are not so expensive)

Videos

- Minotaur (forgot to use FirePenetration for boss)
- Phoenix
- Chimera
- Hydra (1 death)
- Shaper (2 deaths)

Build Achievements:

- Normal Atziri
- Uber Izaro
- Elder Guardians
- Elder (White / Yellow)
- Chimera / Hydra / Phoenix / Minotaur (facetank!)
- Shaper
- Hall of Grand Masters
- Vaal Temple
- Uber Atziri (my first kill!)
- Atlas 157/157

Madantory Uniques:

BIS. Best melee weapon for our Necromancer.

Nice synergy with Molten Strike (+2 Proj and PointBlank)
Also gives us good defensive stats (Inc Armour and IronReflexes while stationary)

for 100% Damage conversion (Phy to Fire) without Avatar of Fire

Pseudo 7~8 Link for MoltenStke. we need 2 Wildfire.

Recommended Uniques:

Dex boost, high life and high evasion (high evasion equals high armour because we have IronReflexes)

Physical damage reduction and Frenzy generation.

Maim and Intimidate.

Onslaught source.

Strength boost. jewele socket on the top of Elemental Equilibrium.

Passive Tree, Bandit and Pantheon:

(Not update for 3.2 yet)

Path of Building (Lv94):
https://pastebin.com/ZCNy83Xk
https://pastebin.com/hQswwa3x (3.2)

Bandit:
Help Oak

Pantheon:
Tukohama and Lunaris
(Maybe Brine King is better for Shaper)

Gears:

(Gearing Tips)
- Lab enchant +120% crit chance is highly recommended on boots (for Elemental Overload)
- Best ring is maybe opal ring with essence of hysteria (10% phys as extra fire damage)
- Elder amulet (grant Lv22 anger) is very useful

Links:

- Ascestral Protector - Blind / Enduring Cry
- Cast when Damage Taken - Enfeeble - Blood Rage
- Molten Strike - Multi Strike - Concentrated Effect - Elemental Focus - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Ancestral Call (swap Fire Penetration for boss)
- Whirling Blades - Blood Magic - Faster Attacks - Fortify
- Cast when Damage Taken - Desecrate - Molten Shell - Bone Offering
- Arctic Armour / Clarity

(Skill Tips)
- for more DPS, replace Arctic Armour with Herald of Ash, Enfeeble with Flammability

Labyrinth Enchantment:

Helmet:
- Molten Strike (Add proj, Inc damage, Inc AoE)
- Bone Offering block chance (personaly I prefer this)
- Blood Rage attack speed
- Flammability/Enfeeble curse effect
- Herald of Ash/Arctic Armour buff effect

Gloves:
- Commandment of Fury/Inferno (for offence)
- Commandment of Reflection (more defensive choice)

Boots:
- +120% crit chance (highly recommended for proc Elemental Overload)

Jewels

Stats priority:
- Life
- Resist
- Accuracy (very important If you want to use a corrupt Grelwood Shank)
- Attack Speed
- Add pys/fire to attacks

Hall of Grandmasters Tips

- Cap chaos resist
- Use Death's Door for Bleed Immunity
- against Max block character, use balefire

This seems very interesting. Could you go into a bit more detail about why the Necromancer class? For example, Bone Sculptor from the Ascendancy doesn't do anything for this build, right? If so, I imagine this build could be even stronger? Just kind of curious, it looks awesome btw!

e: After looking into the PoB from your code, it's starting to all make sense now. Wow.. this is really cool how u made it work with a Necromancer

e2: Could we do frost blades or something for faster clearing, then switch to MS for bosses?

Why Necromancer:
- Huge minion inc. damage (Scourge coverts minion inc. damage to general inc. damage)
- Offering also affect us (in 3.2, 50% reduced effect of Offering)
- All elemental resist and chaos resist (in 3.2, chaos resist is removed)
- When consumed corpses, we can get inc. damage and attack speed

Bone Sculptor:
- Useless for this build
- Notable Ascendancy nodes are Commander of Darkness, Invoker, Mistress of Sacrifice and Puppet Master ( I'm not sure)

You can use Frost Blades, Wild Stirke and other melee skills If you like. But I don't recommend.

Because:
- For Frost Blades, need to drop one 4L setup (or need other 6L chest for swap)
- We have stacking of Fire Penetration, so other skills are not so effective compared with Molten Strike
