Hey, I was wondering about the jewels.. does it matter what kind of element the damage mods are?

Got only lightning jewels right now, is that a bad thing or? :X

Nice guide, I just started mapping I think I am level 71... feeling a lil squishy with 3200 life but kill stuff so fast in white maps that it doesn't matter much.

I feel like the rings / ammy are the most expensive pieces of gear for this build. Gonna have to save a little more to get what I need!

Hi, what I've found is flask setup. It is important. You should craft chemist's diamond flask of warding or buy magic one. It will cover curse map mod, particularly elemental weakness. You lightning resists isnt capped(75%) in such map mod so lightning damage is doubled in elemental weakness map. Please make or buy it as soon as possible.

Top left corner buffs are flask effects. You can turn it on in option(o key) > UI tab > show flask buffs.

Good point. I agree. Because accuracy boost in ascendancy, gearing will be easier.

Didn´t got the chance to try Uber Elder and Uber Atziri yet since the Elder is tricking me all the time but Shaper was a joke. HP is still a little low with 5.5k but I am not aiming to facetank anything and the blind chance on hit makes it easy to survive.
At some point I might respecc into Raider just to see the difference but Deadeye is a fine choice imo. Except for the Guardians and Shelder you pretty much kill everything within 2-3seconds now matter what mods the map has.

Shroud provides 37% penetration in any elemental damages(fire, cold, or lightning) so it doesnt matter what kind of damage your jewel has. It realy helps when gearing. But keep in mind that what I mention in jewel section is stil true in 3.2.

Even if same tier, damage is lightning > fire > cold.
But I focus on cold damage becuase 1) it help freeze/chill rare monsters/exiles 2) more freeze = more loot by windripper.


If you like dps, lightning never does wrong.

Agree, getting the rings/amulets is difficult in gearing. Don't forget t1 or t2 life roll as you already see damage is enough.

I've looked at your gear and passives.

First cheap thing I'd do is chrom your boots and made it RRRG. I know it's hard to roll in dex int base but here is a trick. You already have first 2 socket as reds. Go vorici's bench called Artisan's bench. make it 2 sockets(1 jewel) > 3 sockets(3 jewel) and repeat until you get RRR in the 3. Then make it 4 socket with green(same as before 3>4>3>4 until green pop up). This will save your chrom alot. And use increased duration in the boots.

Next upgrades are up to your needs.

1. If you want more dps, I'd buy high roll watcher's eye of anger critical multiplier, then Dying sun, buying belts with "elemental damage" affix, and amulet with elemental damage and crit multi. I am not 100% sure but afaik these are cost-effective order when I bought my gears.

The aboves are applied to your windripper(mapping and bossing). But if you want quick boost for bossing damage, buy 5L Chin Sol and one more quiver and swap(x key) in guardians or shaper fight.

2. If you want more life pool, I'd buy quiver with t1 life t1 crit multi and elemental damage, it was 20c when I bought. Then upgrades jewels in your passives to life + 2 damage mods.

My thought :
This is 4.3m ish dps with normal Chin Sol or 5m with add arrow Chin Sol.

Now this passed the point where you one-shot monster pack, now it's end point where mirage archer one-shot normal packs.

If you looked at mana pool or storm burst triggered, I rarely use my tornado shot (1-3 times per 4 secs). I only use to proc mirage archer or refil my life. So I don't think Tailwind effect of deadeye is significant in mapping, nor bleeding node of deadeye because it oneshot packs anyways.

Regarding aspect of spider, it boosts dps in pob. In practice, it takes time to stack 3 webs on enemy. Monster packs are one-shotted anyways, so it seems like 1 web(similar to herald of ice) effect on them. For bossing, it can be helpful but those bosses having phases, clear webs whenever they move on to the next phase, so I am not sure how much aspect of spider worth in game.

I am not 100% sure about this so any comments would be appreciated.
I'm not really sure what to upgrade now.. should I focus on getting a chin sol? Just annoying to get another quiver, they aren't very cheap D:

Hey, I've looked at your gears.

First I'd do is to use ice golem in you gloves. Next would be to go uber lab and get enchant on boots(lightning or ele penetration) in a day layout is easy.

Second is getting Phase Acrobatic. It is one of few defense this build has. It will boost your dodge into 75/74 with vaal grace, providing time to refill your life and to clear whatever dangerous monsters.

Thrid are gear upgrades. You miss critical multiplier in your amulet. Chin sol plus another quiver is nice option if you want to farm bosses(shaper or guardians, etc).

Last is leveling. you can get to level 92 and using another jewel socket node.

If you did all upgrades above, you will be around 2.8m dps, after this point, it's about getting right 3mod jewels and slamming jewels :)

I tried to search through a few pages, and couldn't find anything, my apologizes if this has been answered.

Can someone please explain the claw nodes to me? I realize they are for the life/mana leech from the Soul Raker node, but it seems like such a huge investment just for that one node.

We could get more life leech, more leech per second, and more mana leech per second from taking the Vitality Void nodes around Vaal Pact. But.. I feel like I'm missing something.

Lioneye's Fall jewel turns the whole claw cluster into bow nodes, including the crit chance/crit multi that is applying to claws
