[Guide] What a macro is allowed to do in Path of Exile

Wish they would make an exception to using all pots with one macro key.
I sometimes feel like I need 2 extra set of hands to take care of potions.
Can anyone comment if binding like Ctrl-T to a hotkey is okay? Ctrl-t would be the secondary skill bar. Pressing control brings up secondary skill bar and T selects the skill. On one hand its technically two actions. Ctrl brings up secondary skills. T triggers skill. On the other, its only triggering one skill.

Just allocate different keybinds to the second skill bar. Ctrl shows the action bar, so there is a chance the server would read that as 2 actions, but there is no reason to even risk GGG considering that a violation. I have mine set to F1-F5, then those can be programmed to whatever macro button as a single press
I still dont understand exactly what "server side action" is.

For example, every trading macro that everyone agrees are safe like poe trade companion and mercury trade.. Have a macro where you press one hotkey and then it types in chat "@BuyerName Thank you" and then it types in chat "/kick BuyerName" very quick. Are these both considered one "server side action" each so its fine even if one hotkey activates them both?

that is a macro that will get you banned because that is 1 key for 2 actions (chat + party kick).

Set those up as 2 button presses. I don’t care what the tool lets you do or which streamer says otherwise. HanSoloDK is right as well as Sarno’s guide here. Personally I’m not entirely sure the /kick macro is acceptable, but it’ll depend on how the tool reads the correct name.
This is for the PoE staff. Please allow the use of macros to activate all flasks at once, the reason is obvious and needs no explanation.
Could someone give an example of a macro that is actually legal? I'm confused as to what can be accomplished.
It is totally fine to use a macro to say thanks for the trade :) or to send chat commands such as /hideout or /oos. GGG views each of these as being a single action.

I'm not 'Sarno' on Discord. I don't know who that is.

. I see a lot of streamers making use of this feature. And I would really like to know. It is allowed or not?

IRDGT how do you people “SEE” streamers use a macro? ALL Streamers i watch do not show their keyboards while steaming.
