im currently doing this build and its alot of fun !! I have a question about why we are running the high-level curse on hit for our lightning golem though? it seems like 2k++ dmg for a lightning golem isn't really worth?





So usually when a build is running a high level lightning golem with cwdt. It's mainly so the Lightning golem has some buffy health so it isn't dieing all the time.

Ah yeah true, I forgot about that, probably a purity but you can always run 2 mana reservations in your helm and one in your cwdt setup. The +all ele resist should help with the lost resists.

I guess in the long run, the other helmets would be a better choice.

I run a lv 20 lightning golem for the attack speed. It is on CWDT because I am lazy to cast it. If you have better gear with attack speed or you sacrifice some points to grab attack speed on the tree, Ice golem would be better.

I'm confused why your asking about a curse on hit with the golem tho?

The loadout will change depending on your attack per second. Just always try to balance it around 3.8 unless you have cooldown reduction.

Ways to get attack speed are:
The tree (I have a image under skill points showing all the attack speed you can get)
Quality on culling strike/gmp/frenzy
lightning golem/blood rage

Also early on since you don't have a lv 20 blood rage, you will need to wither just run one aura on your life or gram extra mana reduction nodes on the tree. I have a image for that in the skill tree section of the guide too.

I'm asking about cast when damage taken at high levels. I meant to type high-level CwDT :P 2k dmg taken is alot just for a golem i thought..

It's always up. It just gets resummoned at full Heath every time I take 2k damage. He rarely dies though.

Like I said. I just have the setup because I need the attack speed from him.

AWESOME!

So I currently only have 2 of the attack nodes taken down at the bottom of the tree, the duelist part I think. I switched my lightning golem to a Ice Golem, and with Frenzy buff I'm at 3.75 attacks a second!!! And I think there's a big difference with the crit from the Ice golem.



Sucks I'm going to lose the attack speed off those, but I still have a bunch of nodes I can take down there.


On another note,

What do you think of the Opals I crafted today? I have 2 more levels until I can equip them :D, Do you think they'll be a significant damage increase?



Not bad, pretty decent I think. Your thoughts Rezzzy?

Yeah those rings are nice, will be a massive dps buff! Sounds like the build is going well.
May I know why Slayer is chosen? Based on https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1605910 , the slayer "life leech not removed at full life" does not affect energy shield even when Ghost Reaver is taken.

Damn you are right. I always thought it worked...

Slayer is still a decent choice as it gives us damage against bosses and be easy access to attack speed nodes. With no overleach, Inquisitor may be a better choice for dpsing down bosses but you lose a lot of Es from not going scion and the build already has a lot of damage so the more es might feel better.

I have some info in my build about Inquisitor under skill tree. I'll edit the build tomorrow morning and I'll add more detail about Inquisitor.
