ELE POISON GLADIATOR * a tank unleashed!
 Hi guys, I am bashtart and I want to show you my newest build the Fire Poison Gladiator. Some of you may know one of my other builds like the SPARK INQUISITOR - farming like a god:) Overview 3.1: > Skilltree updated 13.01.2018 > Acendancy change from Violent Retaliation to Blood in the Eyes 13.01.2018 > Gear & Skill links updated 13.01.2018 The build is a hybrid tank / DD with molten strike as main skill. I use Volkuur's Guidance to poison with fire. The build uses the Gladiator ascendancy to get a strong defense and the offensiv power of molten strike to melt enemies. The build should be able to facetank most content without problems but can not tank anything. Depending on how the setup exactly is the build can be really tanky or do a loooooot of damage. Other Ascendancy Classes?! Skills?!
Definitly yes... the build is mainly based on the Volkuur's Guidance gloves and other classes are even better suited to scale the damage like Pathfinder, Inquisitor or Assasin. If you chose to go with another class you will need another concept of defense because blocking may not be the best option. There are many options you can build arround the elemental poison builds. Other skills? Definitely also a yes... with the different versions you can poison with with fire, cold or lightning damage... so theoretically nearly every skill is possible. The concept is more or less always the same... get much cast/attack speed, stack flat damage and here you go. As always I try to find the best possible setup and maybe you guys can help me out with that. If you have any constructive suggestions to improve the build please let me know! PLEASE NO PM's this board or ingame... just leave a reply in this thread. Thanks! Progress: More or less I did nearly every map with this build also with very hard mods. I did killed Uber Izaro with lvl 84, all Red Elder Guardians, Red Elder, all Shaper Guardians deathless and killed Shaper with one death but that was kinda lag (watch the video^^) Videos: T12 map with lvl 84 (of course now I am way stronger) T15 map with hard mods Shaper fight Gear & Skill Gems
Gear details
Weapon: The Wasp Nest is BiS, a great and cheap weapon for this Build. Gloves: Volkuur's Guidance are mandatory to poison with fire. Amulett: The Anvil is a great amulett for the defense to increase max block chance. Impresence (chaos) or Astramaentis are also very good options. Boots: Windscream are mainly used to get a second curse for our CWDT setup. If you can get an anvil with + curse then you can drop them. Helmet: On the helmet the enchantment +% molten strike projectiles is most important. I guess Starkonja is BiS for this slot but really expensive with this enchantment. Shield: A shaper rare shield is BiS, you want to look for one with life, charges and chance to shock on block. A cheap alternative would be Chernobog's Pillar or Lepers Alm. Lycosidae would give the most dps in slot. Rings: Rare rings with life, resistances and if you can afford it some usefull damage mods. Belt: high life and resistances. Chest: Rare chest with high life&res, Dendrobate, Belly of the beast,...
Flasks
Life or Hybrid Flask: pretty helpful in some situation preferably with anti bleeding. Atziri's Promise: Really good & cheap flask for dps and leech Rumi's Concotion: the most important flask for our defense. It is kinda really hard to die with the flask up. Optional: Diamond Flask: a bit of a dps boost and something against freezing. The Overlowing CHalice: Just helps to get high flask uptime and additionally some dps and life regen. Dying Sun: Good Flask to increase dps but expensive. Vessel of Vinktars:is also an option either added damage to attacks or physical to lightning conversion Coralito's Signature: really good dps flask... increases the dmg per poison about 1/3 according to PoB.

Budgetgear for about 20chaos PoE tradelinks
I just bought this budget gear cost totally about 20chaos (a few part I just toke from my old gear because I would have gotten the same ones for about 1 chaos). I tried it out and killed Minotaur and few other bosses... (I was so fuckin impressed from the result that I bought a bringer of rain with +3 molten strike projectiles and also athe anvil +1curse to make a own build version)... check out the video (uploading atm): So the following poe trade links for budget gear show allways the lowest price per 07.01.2018: The bringer of Rain (1chaos) The Wasp Nest (1alchemy) Volkuurs Guidance (4chaos) The Anvil (1alchemy) Chernobog Pillar (1alchemy) Windscream (1chaos) Ring with life and resistances (1chaos) Stygian rare belt with life and resistances (2alchemy) Rumi's Concotion (2chaos) Atziri's Promise (2alchemy The Overflowing Chalice (1alchemy) Wildfire jewel (1chaos) Rare Jewel (1chaos) Gearing tips: Get the items like in the above mentioned order because it much easier to balance your resistances etc. when you buy all the uniqes first. Also please notice... you will need on one of your ring about 50 intelligence to use the wasp nest. Also use your abyssal jewels to cap your resistances if necessary.

Skill Gems
Main Damage Setup: Molten Strike + Ancestral Call / Elemental Damage With Attacks + Multistrike + Immolate + Vile Toxins + Unound Ailments / Increased Area of Effect / Conc. Effect For map clearing use Ancestral Call and for bossfighting Elemental Damage with Attacks. For farming trash you also can use Increased Area of Effect to increase the clearspeed. Movement: Whirling Blades + Faster Attacks + Fortify Wither Totem: Spell Totem + Wither + Faster Casting + Increased Duration Cast When Damage Taken (low level) CWDT (lvl 2) + Immortal Call (lvl 4) + Enfeeble (lvl 6) + Despair (lvl 6) Also a very good option for both defense and offensive is temporal chains as curse. Cast When Damage Taken (high level) CWDT + Summon Ice Golem + Tempest Shield Mana Reservation & Utility: Anger / Herald of Ash / Vaal Haste The great multiple projectiles support is only good when you have lightpoacher helmet. Otherwise a free socket slot. Skilltree & Ascendancy Passive Skilltree lvl 93  Ascendancy Gladiator: 1. Painforged 2. Versatile Combatant 3. Gratuitous Violence 4. Blood in the Eyes Pantheon & Bandits: Pantheon: > Soul of Solaris / Arakaali > Soul of Tukohama Bandits: Kill them all for two skill points. Leveling:
Quick Leveling Guide
I will just write a quick leveling guide... not a step by step guide. Leveling with molten strike was quiet easy for me...ancestral call is just crazy good! Please notice... don't use anything for poison (f.e. your wither totem or poison skillpoints) before you got the core items The Wasp's Nest and Volkuur's Guidance!!! We can more or less use molten strike straight from the start. You will receive it for the Hillcock quest. Try to get all skill setups to work as soon as possible... some usefull leveling skill gems are now: Lvl 2: Molten Strike Lvl 4: Ancestral Call Lvl 8: Added Lightning / Cold / Fire Damage Lvl 10: Clarity; Whirling Blades; Lvl 16: Herald of Ash; Tempest Shield Lvl 18: Elemental Damage with Attacks; Faster Attacks Lvl 24: Purity of Elements; Anger; Enfeeble Lvl 31: Fire Penetration; Fortify Lvl 34: Summon Ice Golem Lvl 38: Multistrike; Immolate; Cast When Damage Taken; Immortal Call Skilltree progression: First 20 pts. Points 21-40 Points 41-60 Points 61-80 Points 81-100 Final Tree with 115 points Leveling items: If you can afford it use some leveling items like: Tabula Rasa Wanderlust (lvl 3) Last Resort (lvl 3) Thief Torment (lvl 30) Morten Morsu (lvl 34) I also would recommend to use two Quicksilver Flask for fast movement speed, two healing flask's and one mana flask. how this build with ULab and guardians?

" Well Ulab should not be a problem... the only dangerous things are the traps because the cannot be block but with 1-2 life flask I dont see any problem. Facetanking Izaro shouldnt be a problem. Yesterday I did all four guardians and died twice because of my stupidity but in generell I would say good. You will not melt em in 10 seconds but the dmg is decent and you normally don't get oneshot or something like that.
