[3.11] Toasters HC Guardian Support – 12 Auras – Victario's Influence

"
We've completely changed Mortal Conviction, the notable behind Blood Magic. It is now a keystone that restricts you to only one non-banner Aura skill, but removes the reservation cost. The mana cost of Herald skills and other specialised reservation skills will need to be paid with life in full.

This will let you take Blood Magic and an Aura without compromising available life, at the cost of limited options being available to you.

This will mean that builds that used Blood Magic and Mortal Conviction to reserve a very large number of auras while being protected by energy shield will be restricted to one aura. We may return this mechanic in the future on a more specialised source than the passive tree."

How big does this effect aura bots overall?^

Also I see that are making few skill tree changes for 3.7.

REEP lets see how it goes

Yea you're on the right way. Malevolence and Zealotry are the only damaga auras affecting Soul Rend, so they are a must have. Since you have some mana left, I would probably just use double curse (maybe even Temporal Chains instead of Enfeeble).
Besides, you can keep everything as it is. Don't forget to put the Blasphemies in the Victarios for lower reservation.

Actually this change has absolutely zero impact on this build, because it's not going blood magic.
I can see that many aurabot builds are not anymore working because of this, especially these going with Shavronne's Wrappings or Solaris Lorica.
In the end I would do it like the following:
Go Half Life Victarios, like this build on league start and as a budget option
Go CI and get a lot of reduced mana reservation jewels - can run same amount of auras but gets better survivability and gives more damage, because it's a good option for Ascendant.
What would you recomend as leveling skill? Last league i just went with Stormbrand and got some Brand Nodes and it was fine. Since Strom Brand will get a nerf what is your best idea about leveling and spending/respec points etc. ?
Iam gona level solo in HC trade league.

Best regards
I see we have a few skill tree changes.. I am using the online tool and waiting for the POB to get updated

So far

: Inspiration node
: arcane focus node around there we get some less ES% now
and last some less ES on the ascendancy

It's really hard to say, because nobody was able to test the nerfed Stormbrand yet. I would probably still go with Storm Brand. If it sucks, you could still swap to some hipster spells like Firestorm, Firetrap, Freezing Pulse and so on.. just check what's the best for your needs.

Yup, I updated the skilltree already. Dropped the ES nodes in the witch area, and got some ES elsewhere. Also picked the juicy Insightfulness cluster.
hello Toaster,

how viable would this build be for a "2 person party group found" style of League?
Want to introduce my girlfriend to the game but would like her to be the main damage dealer and me just being a support.

Can this be decent enough without many of the required uniques, which are only giving a good or superb scaling, or is it absolutely horrible without at least Victario's?

Thanks!

Heyhey :)

Well, when I started in a league with this build, I played it 1 day without the uniques as well. I went hybrid and had like 4 auras? That's obviously not really good.
I can't recommend the build without getting the uniques asap, because the uniques make you soooo much stronger. But that's the general case for the support.
For a "SSF" playstyle I would probably make a mix of auras, curse on hit and Elemental Equilibrium.. probably still going hybrid.

- In general the Guardian Aurabot got a small nerf in terms of bad ES nodes at the start of the witch. Although, this is compensated by the new Insightfulness cluster. So all in all you get more Mana but loose a little bit ES.

Am I missing something? I am getting less mana and ES in the 3.7 tree

On my 3.7 tree I get more life but less mana and less ES

THanks for the updated tree.

Looking forward to 3.7 ! Gl

Great Guide!

I plan on starting the league with this build and running with a friend but I have a few questions since this is my first time playing a support build.

You mention that we should only switch to full support around level 70, why is that? I've seen other builds mention they can switch as early as level 24 - This is not a jab at your build I just want to better understand the build and what it requires to perform.

Is it possible to fit Vigilant Strike+The Vigil into the build?

Also, are there any changes you'd make for SC?

Do you happen to have this kind of hybrid playstyle linked anywhere, or talked about previously, in this topic?
I also felt like only using defensive auras and offensive ones which are viable for the build I will support + curses on hit with whispers of doom!
