Darkshrines on the path are always worth it. Its sometimes even worth going off the path for darkshrines if the distance is minimal (and it often is due to the way the rooms in a lab layout are connected).

In a layout with 2+ darkshrines you could skip the later ones if you already got all the stuff you wanted from the first ones, though. Its the same idea as skipping the later gauntlets & puzzles if you've already gotten all the treasure keys.

Is every run on average more profitable (even without enchants) then the costs for the offerings ?

Just started trying uber lab farming in Abyss, went with a safe build so its slower but i can learn (the Jugg in my profile). SDeems actually quite fun now im doing it for cash rather than as a means to get through the leveling process.
