Loot boxes AKA cash grabs - Check
Releasing broken mechanics (elder guardians this league) - check
Nerfing builds mid league - Check

Fixing crap skills that are only still around as a marketing ploy - PLEASE GGG

Very curious that this enchant was deemed too strong, and yet we have offhand stat sticks that effectively double the damage of a number of builds (Blade Flurry, Glacial Cascade, Ethereal Knives).

It seems to me that global modifiers on Shaper and Elder items are way too strong - will GGG next week tell us that global modifiers are also a "bug" and change them to local modifiers instead?

(Incidentally, I absolutely think that making the affixes global instead of local was a *big* mistake, but I'm taking issue with how GGG fixes their mistakes, or how they let them slip through in the first place when the slips seem so egregious and obvious instead of subtle).


In any event, this move by GGG is just bad form. While I didn't have any personal stake in this (took one look at the Poet's Pen builds and decided my necromancer starter build was better), I don't like the idea that I can pursue a strong build only to have my time and currency wasted at any moment during league play.

Pedantic side note: the term "mid-league" doesn't necessarily mean halfway through the league. The term "middle" can refer to any time betweeen the start and end of a league
It was clearly an intended value as it was placed in the game and released.

14 ex spent on 2 items, barely 1 week and some change in the league kinda proves how broken these builds are.
Meanwhile, yours truly playing casually some sunder/cyclone average league starter not even seen 1 ex and barely afford to spend 50 c for some improvements....

Apparently, some people on the forum have reading comprehension problems, and can't understand this from context.

Firstly Map stash (expensive, without search), now this.

Note. I've never played VD, but I agree with people who have been screwed by this nerf.

VD is overtuned every way you look at it. I am playing it myself.

I am glad this nerf came this early actually, because it means that at the end of the league, VD has a chance of not being butchered beyond recognition.

Because it WILL be nerfed in the end. Like other skills. But with this first nerf, we have a chance the ending league nerf will be small.
Fix VD in PVP arena pls

never played the build was thinking about it, glad i didnt but ye that really lame spending all your time and farm and get hit hard in the mid.
