There are some dense tin foil hat people in this thread. It is simple. They redirected the original thread because it hit reddit first, and they wanted people to have been linked to the /war page not the forum page that links there. The average reddit thread hits 50/100k unique views and that is key advertisment time for them.

Sinister? Shameful some of you are reading into it this hard. They want people to see what they have been working on.

If that were really the situation then why not mirror the discussion thread to a new URL and leave the original for the Reddit people to follow?

Or, if that's not possible why not simply explain to your forum members why this action was taken. I don't think that's unreasonable and in fact I think it's a minimum level of respect to the people that you're supposed to be most engaged with.

My sole issue with this situation is the poor input from staff and the lack of respect to us the users.

1) That thread has 9 pages of comments
Why didn't GGG "redirected" it instantly, and waited for 9 pages to generate?

2) When people used "reply to thread" forum "trick" - GGG deleted their comments and ASKED VIA PM "not to do this again".
SERIOUSLY? (why though?)

3) That's still a very (at least) weird behavior for those who was known earlier as "good guys GGG".
And very stupid, at the same time.

There are at least 3 (THREE) links\pointers\re-directions to "poe.com/war" page.
Why not let the usual "news thread" to exist?

Or does GGG want to shove "BUY MTX PACKS" into our faces with more (unneeded) passion?
Come on, there is already a big button at the main page...

P.S. i want to emphasize "stupid behavior" specifically.
"This is intended" sound exactly like "FUCK YOU, 'TIS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS", no matter "how hard people read into this".

Reddit is NOT-regardless of those who say otherwise-the official game website. So they should allow those of us who use the official site to see the content of the official site. OR at least tell us on the official site WTF is going on.

Like i've said elsewhere, I'm getting that bad aftertaste of such companies like EA due to this move by GGG. It shows an utter lack of respect to a community of diehard fans.

So still no explanation from GGG. I was willing to give them some time because of the weekend, but this is just piss-poor engagement. I expect far better from the team.
