Blizzard successfully killed off 5 franchises, and if GGG believe they are beyond reproach, which seems to be the current mind set of the dev team (unless they are simply trolling us, which I do not entirely discount), they will fall faster and harder than Riot Games is set to.

your really not that bright are you.

Oh the irony....

And, no... the xBox is an abysmal object failure, as was every action game port to it in the history of the world.
What a great read.

It's so interesting to line up the PoE history with my own. Hmmm when I was doing <such and such job> you guys were officially launching, and I hadn't even heard of the game at that point!

And then in <some league, I think Talisman> I was super casual, played a bit and stopped.

Played again when I discovered a free respec for my character's (totally messed up) tree! Woohoo! (Didn't really differentiate between standard and leagues at that point, lol.)

And then the growing obsession: first time actually playing a league with some purpose. First time to maps. First time overcoming social anxiety and (gulp) trading. First time to 90. Now first time to 36 challenges (soon, still on 35.)

Thank you GGG, and I know you have even more and better in store!

[edit] I just realized, if it was formally released in October 2013, then I was part of the Beta, I am sure I was playing before then....

Jumped on the bandwagon only two months later and damn, I've never ever stayed with a game this long. Had favourite ones, like Baldur's Gate, the Witcher series or Diablo II which I had returned to from time to time, but never been this long with one game and mainly not on an almost daily basis.

Thanks GGG, hope you keep it up for long!
Like many others I've been here since 2013, even if with some breaks.
Having experienced as a player the growth of this game during the years has been a great journey, can't wait to see what you have in store for the future.
Thank you.

What an epic journey, and what an amazing game you have achieved on your own . Congratulation.
Too bad don't have much time to play poe these days :/.

Definitely a heart-felt post, Bex. We love this game, and the commitment of the development team to it. Here's to many more years of PoE!

When a director write a public letter... it's not good sign :) Remember me Jay Wilson and his "transfer-but-not-fired place under Blizzard studio" letter :). He said "Aren't you thankful ?", a meme quote today :).

Yep, POE is a great game, really nice graphics, music, animations, story, voice characters and amazing work on a custom 3D engine made by a small team. A product that have better quality than lot of other commercial games, and free from start, on Windows and Linux.
And with 10 acts now, it is even one of the best hash'n slack on the market.

I wonder what will be the next steps of this game in a future. Maybe going towards a totally new POE 2 game ? Or rework all olds parts of the game step by step, like it seems to be...
