Might I suggest a small change to the perfect orb shape that comes out near the player's hand? Maybe it should be a little more static-y. Perhaps even technological looking, like some sort of warp field is emanating the lightning.

" Was gonna post the same thing myself. That orb around the hand is really unappealing. Removing it entirely going full force lightning or changing it to look like a plasma globe would look way better than that perfect orb of constant light (which I think is due to its very fast cast speed).
