[3.1] Frostbreath Molten Strike / Sunder. Does Everything.
Awesome guide! Thanks a lot! Looking at your skill tree, first you went to acquire upper side of tree all the way to Elemental Overload and then you start working your way down to right side, am I right or?

" I honestly don't remember. I did go from Marauder into the templar area first but I don't think I went straight for Ele Overload. Instead I grabbed the Elemental Nodes with Resists near the templar area and left it at that, then went towards Point Blank, Vaal Pact, and all the way to the end of the shadow area. Grabbing Life and Damage as I needed them. I filled out the jewels last, which each one felt really strong as I gained more and more speed. I don't know if that was the more efficient route to take, but it's what I did originally. |

I am having a hard time against the shaper, how does this build work against him if he can't be chilled/frozen?
|
|
" While bosses can't be frozen, they can be chilled, with 3.0, Chills can now be applied easily, even weak ones, which then enables the frostbreath. a Weak chill will still last the full duration now, it's almost like elemental overload, which on bosses should be up 100% of the time due to how fast we hit. If you want to, you can also use a CWDT Vortex (instead of Molten Shell) which will guarantee a chill no matter what on bosses. I looked at the character you have setup for this, and I see one detail that can be improved. The jewels. You have 1 attack speed roll and Area damage, each of your jewels should have at minimum 2 attack speed rolls and Area Damage. Search for attack speed with Maces, Area Damage, and a second filter block with a count 1 rule, for attack speed with one hand, attack speed with shield, and regular attack speed. These should be worth ~2-5c tops (I just checked, there's 4 jewels worth looking a on HSC). |

Anyone have any updates or improvements to this build thus far? Seems pretty solid but only lvl 58 atm.

Hi guys.
This is a newbie question: If frostbreath is a weapon with physical and cold damage, ¿How it can be used with a skill that deals physical and fire damage like molten strike? Thanks in advance for your help. Last edited by falxes#6016 on Nov 26, 2017, 11:00:04 AM

" I'm trying to comprehend what you are asking, and I'm going to give two answers. 1. If you are asking How can a weapon that deals Physical and Cold be used with a skill that deals Physical and Fire, implying that there would be a restriction based on the weapon used, there isn't. Molten Strike is a skill that delivers a blow, creates lava balls, and converts some of your physical to fire along the way. You can use that skill with any melee weapon, regardless if it has or not physical and fire damage. 2. If you are asking How the skill is able to deal Physical and Fire damage since the weapon has Physical and Cold, it's because Molten Strike converts a portion of your physical to Fire, so the end result is a blow that deals Physical, Fire, and Cold damage. If you have other additional damage (lightning or chaos for example) then its a blow that deals a combination of all of those. Hope this answers what you were looking for :) |

EY..
I have a quick question... im a big noob at PoE but i really enjoy and love this build! Wrath OR Anger Arctic Armour If i got Arctic armour up.. i dont have enought mana for Wrath or anger.... is the problem that they are not superiour and Corrupted? |
|
" Hi ! No, the reason you don't have enough mana for Arctic Armour and 1 more aura is probably because you have something else reserving mana, or maybe your arctic armour is linked to other support gems increasing the mana reserved. Make sure that Arctic Armour isn't supported by other gems, and you should have enough to use Arctic Armour and 1 more aura, either Wrath or Anger. |
