Heeeey Everyone!
Just checking in here to say I'm still alive~ ;P I took a looooooooooong break during both Abyss and Bestiary League to recharge. I was planning to come back in 3.3 with the skill reworks but Flashback looked interesting so I'm going to casually chill with the event. Sorry I wasn't able to reply (like before) to the many many questions and comments in the thread, I asked a few homies to answer as best they could during my absence >_<. Most of the questions are usually answered when reading over the guide a bit more carefully. I'll try my best to retroactively answer some questions but since things will get a bit busy I may not be able to address them all! " In 3.2, with the ascendancy rework, there was a trade off. I mentioned this in the summary: "In short, the minions gain 20% movement speed + attack speed + damage (about 10% more damage with both factored) + life + duration + regen while we lose about 15-25% attack speed (dependent if you have the helm enchant), 15% cast speed/movement speed. Right now this is looking like a tradeoff: even though we are losing cast and attack speed, the longer duration of SRS helps ease the loss of cast speed, and there are places to grab attack and cast speed if desired (rings, jewels, passives, lightning golem!)." The meta may have changed slightly, but I still whole-heartedly recommend the build for those who like SRS, an active summoner style, and/or the ability to do all map mods and content. " In section 4.3, I talk a bit about Hall of the Grandmasters: "For the most part, this build does great in Hall of the Grand Masters, with one caveat. There are a few ‘Blocker’ exiles mixed in, and these can present a problem for the build. ‘Blockers’ refer to full aegis/regen/immortal block builds, which means that they can sustain their eHP when they get hit by quick attacks. Fast-hitting SRS will not be able to kill them. In this case, you simply swap in the Scorching Ray Setup to melt them down (since it does not ‘hit’), then switch back to SRS. The easiest way to accomplish this is to have a spare chestpiece so swapping can be done quickly, as the gems do differ and you may not be able to swap so many so quickly without dying. Scorching Ray Links for HotGM: Scorching Ray + Controlled Destruction + Elemental Focus + Empower + Burning Damage + Swift Affliction You can simply use a Tabula for this." " I finishes HoGm with this build. I bought an 6 link 2h weapon and the recommended skill gems for sorching ray setup (see Thread opener posting). I cast the minions before every wave. When all the minions were there, I triggered the wave and ran back to start casting again. Most of the enemies died then. Some, especially with high es regen, u cant kill this way. Then u switch to sorching ray. This works quite fine. There is only one enemy group you have a hard time with and that is lightning arrow build. The range is greater than that of the srs minions and you die immediately. But with a lightning flask I had no problems anymore. I currently have big problems in uber elder fight. Can anyone give me any tips? Has anyone managed the uber elder with this srs build? I've got all the resistance at 108+. Chaos is still at -40 but shouldn't make a difference in this fight. I have 7300 live. But I made it only halfway through the fight. I realize that a +1 belly would make a huge difference, but I can't afford it or none at all offers it. In principle, I die very quickly. Even the standard cold attacks from the elder pull me 75% live off. Is there a possibility to have more defensive in the built instead of vaal haste and vaal clarity? As I don't match the required number of killed monsters. Thanks a lot. Greetings lake |
