You somewhat answered your own question here, but I wanted to point out that I know of no hard, fast rule of 43%.

It's always your total HP pool / 3 = required mana available to soak. As your mana pool can be vastly different from one character to another, 43% seems very arbitrary. And this logic is only for one-shot mechanics.

Obviously more hits over time = more mana needed to help reduce incoming damage. Lavianga's is definitely a get out of jail free card here though.

Yep. I think so if you play it carefully. Just opt for the life nodes, etc first at beginning if you are concerned. All content in the game can be done deathless. Though ofc if something unlucky happens, you can die very fast (same as most other builds).

Great guide, Huy! I was following you since I noticed someone posted a build based on your character a little while ago. Like others, I wasn't able to find the right SRS build for me until now.

Nice to see you come in and really flesh out all the details here. Including MF, group, and Hall of Grandmaster swaps are much appreciated.

It's listed under the leveling uniques section. They're fine as weapons but the Scourge adds more damage in the end (as long as you proc it). In my Path of Building, I lose about 11.8% damage if I switch to United in Dream (esp after poison/double dip nerf). Thanks for the question. I'll add it to the FAQ. :)

Hello. Thanks for this question! I originally had this in the Gems Setup Section but the Tabula part was cut out due to forum formatting lingo! I just fixed it now thanks to you and updated the guide. Here's your answer:

Tabula Rasa or 3R3B Linked Chest (Corrupted is cheap and fine!)
General Speed Clearing: SRS + Minion Damage + Melee Phys + Empower (at least Lv3, if not, go with Ruthless) + Minion Speed + Melee Splash
Single Target: SRS + Minion Damage + Melee Phys + Empower (at least Lv3, if not, go with Ruthless) + Elemental Focus + Elemental Damage With Attacks

Running pretty much the poor man's version of your build (aka no level 21 gems, no empower 4, no +2 skin) and it's been doing pretty solid. Only thing I do differently is for maps I run vaal clarity instead of vaal lightning trap. With Inc. Duration it's about 30 sec of free casting which is pretty nice so I don't have to spam my flask as much.

The only thing I've had trouble with so far is Chimera's add phases, but that's mostly because my melee splash is on a weapon swap since I'm still levelling it and I can't swap it fast enough to deal with them.
I'm assuming my next upgrade should probably be empower level 4 before SRS 21, although SRS 21 is a lot cheaper, so I might end up going for that instead.
