Started playing here at end of patch 0.9.1 , did the whole ladder thing for a while, but that gets played out quick, for me anyway.
Since then I've gone to max out MF with quantity being a priority. Quantity set is at 182q/169r Dual set is at 166q/214r , These pictures are solo drops in this item arrangement. It takes a long time and alot of alteration , regal and scours to get there, but i think its worth it.

 Gear using is this , Q/R gems in the chest as well. Nah, got tuned pretty good, so only time I change gear is if i changing for more orbs, or more rares. Still got a 3400 ground slam @ 3.2 aps and 9200 or so heavy strike, so usually just use heavy on boss, and finish with the slam. 80%resist, so maps are fine in it, but I definitely not tankin anything :D . Sacrifice alot of survivability, but is fun.

Nice! I am definitely hooked on MF as well. At first I started stacking whichever was easiest to get and ended up with a lot of rarity. Since then I've gradually balanced toward more QTY while trying to keep it effective as far as other stats are also concerned.
Currently I am at 127q / 268r. Running a (phys) wand shadow, power siphon w/ LMP & Chain at ~820 dps per projectile clears docks nicely and with purity fire res at 77 (dogs still hurt) and others ~30 (chaos pretty much completely neglected, got eldritch battery to run a bunch of auras and currently ~2.9k life). Here's my gear:
