What parts could I swap out/make better?

Thanks!

Hi!

You are at a point where upgrades are harder to come by, like i stated in the guide this build require some essence crafting to really get going and that can be quite costly. However i quite enjoy the essence crafting and the rng lottery :)

Are you using concentrated effect on bosses instead of increased AoE?

I see your weapons are not that great. If you manage to find daggers with 3 or more well rolled caster stats that is probably your best option for starters.

Upgrading to a 6 link will be a massive dps boost.
I dunno the price of a +40% dark pact damage on helmet, but also a +12% casting speed is almost as good. After Mathil did his dark pact build the price of Starkonja's with dark pact damage spiked alot.
I see you do not use a lucky flask, that should up your crit chance with roughly 20% on bosses and will help alot for a very cheap price. I would swap with the sorrow of the divine.

Also your Atziri boots are very poor, an easy upgrade would be to get a decent pair with 70+ life and attack and cast speed if you have killed recently. Don't really know th eprice of those but they should not be "that" expensive. Your life on gear aside from that looks good. If you have low life despite that are you around lvl 75? Do you have life on jewels? Jewels are very important for dps aswell. If you have poor jewels consider to respec out of jewel slots for more life and dmg on the tree instead.

If you make your characters public on your profile i could take a closer look.

I think it is public? :) Thanks for the indepth reply really appreciate it. Yeah there are minor changes needed for sure! I always thought my weapons were ok, turns out no :P I'm too poor to even attempt anything really. Any essence's you would recommend to craft with?

I think I'll look out for the helmet and boots like you said too. Maybe gloves need to go aswell I dunno.. My jewels have all got life% on and some other mods you suggested.

I am level 81 and now use this beauty belt.

Yeah, that is an awesome belt indeed.

You need to roll Ambushers ilvl 84+ with misery essence, i would advice shrieking or better, but if you are ppor like you say rolling them with screaming essence is fine and should only cost you 1c each try, quite affordable. At this stage clearing speed is most important for you, so yes boots with attack and cast speed if killed recently will be a good upgrade for you, so will gloves with +16% more attack and casting speed allowing you to use whirling blades to speed up your movement by quite a bit.

Also Chimeric Splinter jewel is a very easy upgrade, your other jewels are good enough and probably amongst your best pieces of gear.

Grabbing the heartseeker crit cluster right of ranger start is also going to be a nice dps upgrade for you when you can afford them.

Your daggers have attack speed, that's nice, but not a priority, probably a good 4'th stat on a dagger or a good stat if you have damage to spare. That is why you roll on ambushers so you will have good attack speed even if you do not get an attack speed roll.

Hey dude thank you VERY MUCH for posting this guide. First time poster and this is my first league. I started out playing FB which ended really quickly once I realized I can't do endgame content efficiently. I felt I had a pretty good grasp on the game after playing it for a while, so I wanted something more challenging to keep me engaged and this build has been INCREDIBLY fun. I see you answer everyones post so I figured I'd give it a shot to see if you will give me some insight on my gear and what my priority should be at the point I'm at. I know everyone has asked you this so don't feel obligated to answer but I would really appreciate it.

https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/yzzit/characters

this is my mapping setup. That's all i've been doing so far and loosing money while im at it -.- sextants are killing my money without enough returns so I'm thinking about saying fuck it and just simply alching.

I understand my 1 ring is trash
but my gloves have no res on them so I'm having trouble getting capped. I also have
for resistances but I have a decent pair of Atziris
that I cant afford to use yet since I'm using Biscos. Along with an ok res belt if I chose to not use the Untethered. This replaces biscos if I ever need it
. So without iiq my res is overcapped and fine. I just wanted your opinion on where I stand overall for mapping and for progression into endgame content. Maybe what I should focus on getting first, and my priority list of things I need to work on getting. That's a lot of information and if you get to the end of this I'll be surprised. Thanks again for your time and effort with setting this guide up!!

Hi, and thank you very much for the great endorsement!

The chaos dmg diamond rings are probably among the last items you should focus on since you need the stars to align to get a good one hehe, and it is not "that" great of a dps boost.

May I ask what your critical multiplier is? you have very little on jewels and afterall it is the stat that gives the most damage, that is perhaps the point i would focus on if i where you. Your jewels are not bad at all tho, but if possible less focus on casting/att speed and more focus on multi. It is hard to say how much of a dps boost a multi jewel would be over a casting speed jewel, maybe check this in PoB to make sure a purchase is worth before purchasing.

Your weapons are decent for sure aswell. They are very close to what i had when i took on shaper.

If you have resist trouble then it is probably best to solve that on a belt. Also are there any cheap resist boots with attack and casting speed if killed recently? Be on the lookout for something like that. Clearspeed = Money. Atziri's boots are very good for defence, but if you can't make the resists just any pair of movespeed boots with resist is good enough. You are going to be fighting with your resist constantly in this build. It is certanly a big part of the challenge in the build.

I understand you want to keep bisco's in the build when clearing and I also advice to keep that mindset as it allows you to focus on dmg only when getting an amulet to use on guardians and shaper.

Your amulet is not good. I would be on the lookout for a crit multi amulet over 30%. Spelldmg, cast speed and crit chance is extra icing on the cake :)

Also, save your sextants for spider forest farming or something like that, i rarely use sextants outside a specific purpose, double beyond t16 farming for instance. Ofcourse i may not be playing "correctly" in that regard.

Yeah I had trouble finding affordable crit/life/res jewels, and even if there were any to get there were a max of like 2 on poe trade at like 300c I wasn't willing to pay. Been rolling jewels every day to try to land something decent and have yet to do so. I will make that my focus. As for my ammy it had cast speed and res i needed so I just used it without have to spend any money lol XD. Believe it or not I have been running SF with sextants and I've done OVER 800. Not 1 single fucking doctor, or anything noteworthy really.

My crit multiplier is at 404% with untethered and biscos.

So what shape do you think I'm in for a possible shaper in the near future? Just get my crit high from jewels and find a better ammy and it is doable? Or what do you think. Again, my first league so I'm just basically clueless when it comes to requirements for end game shit. But i'd very much like to be able to do it. Thanks again for the reply and taking time to respond with a lot of help.

Oh, gj on running spider forests! I just alch them. CBA to buy sextants to keep spider forests double sextanted. I just alc large amounts and filter out temp chains, hexproof and cannot leech. Rest i run regardless of how little pack size or whatever. I set aside beyonds to run them double beyonded and sextanted at the end of each batch for a fun change of pace and a loot burst. That way i sustain my own sextants and even have some to spare.

Gotten 2 Doctors this leage. But I have done alot of shaped spider forests aswell.

If you're sick of running it then just try and progress your atlas maybe. It's hard to say if you are ready for guardians, but if I where you I would perhaps give it a try and find out!

May I ask your tooltip dps? In Hideout with haste, with conc effect and your boss neck. Just as a benchmark.

Your multi sounds ok, for now alteast. Consider recoloring your chest to drop life leech for crit strikes. It is kind of a big step, but I think you have enough dps to do it somewhat safely. That should be a massive dps boost for you.

Bring 2 atziri's flasks to all guardians to compensate for lack of life leech, or leech neck and you should get some good try's in.
Or just do like I first did in the video, with the life leech gem.

Congrats on the 2 doctors! I have gotten 6 ex though XD but that's nothing compared to 2 doctors! I swapped out 2 of my cast speed gems for some crit ones

They added 20k each to my dps basically. I'm sitting at 437 crit multi now.

I also bought some boots with cast and attack speed

but for some reason the ones I had on previously give me more damage according to pob.. I don't understand how or why. I go from 895.2 with my original boots to 891.4 with the cast and attack speed boots. I guess because it dosen't count it until its triggered.

Tooltip with the boss neck i'll be replacing soon and haste on is 75k. I have this neck I just got tonight I guess I'll use.

I just have a hard time staying capped using atziri's. Cant seem to find a way to get everything capped. But for bossing I guess I wont use untethered so I'll actually be fine!

Yeah I have been scared to drop the life leech gem haha I didn't think I did enough yet but I might try it out since the man himself says it might be possible :D

Yeah i was guessing you where around 70-80k dps, try it out wo life leech see what you think. damage is key to everything tho so i would recommend you atleast give it a try. Don't worry too much about dps with the boots thing, they are mostly for the clearspeed aspect of things, to speed up your whirling blades, you will not be able to reliably trigger the killed recently effect on bosses anyway, and at this point boss viability should be main focus since i imagine your are stomping all map content anyway.

I first did shaper at 72k dps with life leech(i think, i may be misremembering this as i cannot find my old screenshots on imgur anymore after i deleted them), i probably had better defence than you tho as i had atziri's step at that time, but i'd say you are about ready to consider guardians at this point, just dont expect to do it deathless, maybe need a few tries like i did just to get the tactics down since this is not a facetank build until you get double the dps and over 6k life, even then you cant really facetank very much. And keep in mind that Shaper can be easier than some of the guardians for this build.

And remember conc effect hehe.

Nice jewels! yeah multi makes a huge difference on dps and jewels are the "easiest" spot to get it if we don't consider the cost. Luminous flame is really nice, I am currently looking for jewels like that myself.

Well sweet! I'm excited. Never would have thought someone who posted a guide would help each individual so much including a super scrub like me!! Pretty awesome. I bought a neck for 5c to get 5% more crit haha.

It'll allow me to level up my gems more with the strength. Thanks for your time my dude!!!
