I can't load my items onto the skilltree. Is it "get-items" or "getitems"?
it should be "get-items", works fine for me. are you not logged in?
the file should contain something like this:
{"items":
What is the file extension supposed to be, because this isn't working for me either, and it saves it as a generic file with no extension.

It crashs (1.31) with the new download into a clean directory.
Problem seems to be that the file skilltreeaddress has
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAQQBCjGfdH3Fr_WJKhzbnVC6-w==
which is the old format.
Tried deleting everything with no success, tried editing skilltreeaddress with a valid link but it keeps replacing it with the invalid one.
Exception: System.Net.WebException: An exception occurred during a WebClient request. ---> System.IO.IOException: Unable to read data from the transport connection: The connection was closed.

that is not the problem. it works fine if i delete all files except the exe and both dlls.
is the application blocked by your firewall? is it allowed to create folders and files?
please post the complete debug txt somewhere so i can see the trace where it went wrong.
loading skilltrees from the url does not use a webclient so it is impossible for that to be the error.
@Rishijin the file is not supposed to have an extension, but i will probably change that in the next version.
@Cenaria what do you mean nothing happens? is the window coming up again where you enter your name?
if not, it loaded successfully and you can switch the tabs on the top left to a tab that also includes item data.

Here it is, hope this works. I also tried just deleting all but DLL and EXE but same result.

Ok, it turned out to be Kaspersky all the sudden doesn't like your app downloading things, paused it it long enough to get the initial download and then turned it back on.
