Very good news Andrew ! Hope we will also notice updated sounds for goatmen and all humonoids, which i find them pretty lacking compared to others

as I have mentioned before goat-men may be updated at some point BUT humanoids will all have massive updates after our vocal recording sessions are done! also zombie audio may be redone (I would like to triple the size of the zombie sound-bank)

Recently I was playing POE after watching Solomon Kane (average movie). Somehow my PC decided to play the menu screen sound from Solomon Kane whilst I was also playing POE in Act II. I really liked the effect of the crescendo of orchestral instruments mixed in sounds of fighting in the background. It might be something to experiment with.

It would be nice if environment and ambient sound are separated from fighting sounds in options.

That's on the list of things to do for one of our programmers, an ambient fader will be added to the audio options. Its fairly low priority but is scheduled to be added before open beta.

Impact sounds for arrows are not very satisfying. A nice satisfying THUNK would add a lot to ordinary arrow impacts.
Also, 2-handed weapon impacts sound way too trebly. When I use sweep with hatred on and a 2-handed axe it sounds like something is hissing - there should be bassy, meaty impact noises. |

arrow impacts aren't the strongest of sounds BUT I think you will find that this is partly because your generally far away from enemies. Volume decreases over distance!
as for the impacts, with sweep I am waiting on some audio to be programmed in, this means I can create more powerful impacts for physical skills. so stuff like sweep, cleave, double strike, dual strike will sound much better soon :) The audio guy.

I don't know if it's been suggested before, but water sounds would be really nice when your character walks into puddle of water and also on beach like areas.
