So, Vaal Pact kinda patched up some of this build's weaknesses -- namely, dying -- and the new version is placed in such a way that we'd have to lose a couple points trying to repath the bottom side of the tree. I haven't tried it yet on this patch but afaik the VP nerf is a straight nerf to this character and we may be better off just not worrying about it. I'm going to update the PoB link in the OP but the only change is we're cutting Vaal Pact and the nodes from Trickery to Coldhearted Calculation to take the entire Scion life wheel. Even in softcore the build is going to feel hideously squishy without a lot more life than before.

I will say this though, there are promising builds right now using dual White Wind daggers that look potentially a little easier to get running than this one.
