[Bug] Recurring Nightmare, Act 9 boss ending

I died a fraction of a second after the Act 9 final boss died, the quest updated to "Talk to Lilly" and my corpse was teleported to Lilly. When I clicked return to checkpoint it sent me back into the boss room and now there is no way to get back to Lilly and as such I can't talk to her to finish the quest and enter Act 10

When I go back to town the quest changes to "Go to the Black Core and Talk to Sin" but when I go back there the quest changes back to Talk to Lilly, and Sin's only dialog option is "Goodbye" as you can see in the second screenshot

The map in the second screenshot shows the boss room and where Lilly is in relation to it, which is unreachable as far as I can tell

It seems I am going to have to replay the entire end of Act 9, all 4 bosses, because of this glitch. You should add a portal in the boss room that leads to Lilly when the boss dies in case this happens.

UPDATE

Even though the quest is still active Act 10's tab in the world map is there and the Oriath Docks waypoint is available, going to that waypoint completes the Recurring Nightmare quest and allows you to progress forward normally without losing anything (although you don't get the drops from Act 9's boss)

you should search post and bump up the old thread instead to draw dev attention .

What happens when you click the act 10 tab and go to that waypoint?

I didn't even think of this but there is an Act 10 tab and I can go to the waypoint, doing so marks the Recurring Nightmare quest as being completed (there is no active quest at all now) and has skipped over having to speak with Lilly at the end of Act 9

The NPCs in Act 10 all have quests to give so I could just continue forward from here, but I want the loot from the act 9 boss

When I go back to Sin in the Black Core he gives the last act 9 quest again starting with killing the 3 mini bosses, the quest goes from Complete in the quest log to active, very strange

I went back and completed it, everything happened as it normally should, Lilly's spoken dialog didn't match the text in the box though but I suspect that happens even without this glitch happening first

Exactly the same happened to me just now.
Killed the boss and died straight after. Saw the loot for a fraction of a second and then revived into an empty arena. Seems like a bug allright :S

Same exact thing happened to me just now; was concerned with the loot, then became paranoid I'd need to reroll a new character to progress, until I realized I was a dummy and the act 10 tab was active. Sigh of relief that I didn't need to start everything over, but this bug might be worth fixing if possible.

This just happened to me. GGG needs to fix boss encounters that auto port you into different zones. Kitava also does this sort of thing. For the act 9 boss just make it so you can click the corps of the boss to enter the area that lets you get the loot and speak with Lilly.
