Frequent and consistent lag spikes
Same issue for me as for most in this thread. The game is currently completely unplayable.
GGG needs to acknowledge this and take action. |

BUMPING FOR MAINTENANCE.

In an attempt to give my own experience.
I'm in Ireland (using the London gateway). I have a ~100MBPS fibre connection that works fine with other games. I first noticed these occasional lag spikes about a week ago, then they got worse fast. I would go from constantly under 50ms ping for maybe 7 or 8 seconds, to sudden spikes ranging anywhere from 100-4000, then back to normal like nothing happened. After a while the spikes got bad enough to prompt the 'unexpected disconnection' crash to menu - and sometimes, just a hard lock on the client itself. Needless to say, with a cyclone character on lockstep this was extremely difficult to tolerate and lead to all kinds of discomfort. I have done the following to rule out local causes: *A complete reinstall of windows 10. *Multiple rollbacks and driver updates for onboard ethernet controller on my mobo. *Replaced router with brand new unit. *Replaced all RJ45 cables with brand new cables. *Replaced powerlink adapters with brand new adapters. I'm running at a consistent 80-100mbps, all games work fine except PoE. I've noticed it tends to be worse at certain times of day (particularly later at night here - and better in the afternoons). It is not a contention issue and its not a backbone isp issue. The whole thing feels like a faulty card in a server somewhere that is dropping packets while under heavy load. I've eliminated all potential local sources of the problem and am forced to conclude the issue lies somewhere on the GGG back-end. EDIT TO ADD: I have tried other gateway's in case it was London specific and the behaviour repeats (though from a much worse baseline obviously!). This is 100% not a gateway-specific issue, there's something else in the infrastructure thats dying; Last edited by silo64#1010 on Aug 31, 2017, 6:08:32 PM

Same, this is fucking annoying. Fix the goddamn lag, I've been stuck at 82 for days because I keep getting random ass lag spikes.

Same here, randome lag spikes (not because one thing in particular like harbingers, water,...). It comes and goes... maybe i can play for 30m fine and then it comes lag spikes and cant play the game because lose exp from a shitty death like that is exasperating, i cant even think in HC!!
Fix that issue, is creating bad user experience all over... and is more important in the long term that creating a stupid feather's back MX And let the people know you read the concerns! |

Playing on the Australian serving living in Aus. Latency constantly swinging from about 60 to 225. Ascendancy trials are very dicey. I honestly think is not about 3.0, but the new Xbox customers.
Either way, its become unplayable. |
