Constant disconnects when loading zones
I would be willing to bet GGG loses more players to this issue then the next 10 top issues they have COMBINED. It should be the top priority, all the time every day, every week.
Every league it gets worse...and eventually it just becomes unplayable and the person leaves and does not come back. New players get into the game get 2-3 disconnects and never log in again. From what I know of the issue its the same thing that causes the INSANE lag with interventions. HUGE and I mean gigantic files loaded up IN COMBAT or at load screens. Its the cause of the stuttering, the disconnects everything. I think its either impossible to fix on GGG's side or would require an entire rebuild of how they do the file system so they ignore it and accept the losses....but the losses are mounting because every league is MORE mechanics, more NPCS, more loading more files. In my game it works flawlessly until act 5, then its a total shitstorm. |

Similar issue here.
I can log in to the character screen then when I click play the game goes to loading screen for about 30 seconds then I get disconnected back to the log in screen with this error message "Disconnected - Failed to connect to instance". Have not been able to play for the past 72hrs, even did a reinstall which did jack all. |

Almost 1 week so far, I couldn't leveled up my char in new league.

Dear GGG team,
running in the same issue. Deinstalled POE, installed a new, nothing changed. Every 3-5 instance change just kicks me out with "cannot connect to the instance". It was fine at 3.6 start and got broken by recent hotfixes. using nvme ssd, so realy fast loading of zones...till now ;) |

did a uninstall 3 times then reinstalled, nothing worked. Maybe there needs to boycott grinding garbage games!!!!

People almost reached level 100, all I can do is watch them on tw. I am level 55 in new league hardly.

Since 5 days I am having disconnects frequently. I can't even finish my merciless lab run because it will inevitably disconnect in any of the rooms. It is a very very weird phenomenom to me as I have attempted many solutions found online.
Let me describe the problem: For example, I am in my hideout. Now I open a map on my map device, which btw in the second decoration version where it is the large device from the old lab, has its "name tag", that you can click to interact with, flicker around like crazy. It always happens when I switch to the large map device design since 5 days now. So now I opened a map from my realm Frankfurt, I live in germany so Frankfurt is my go to gateway. Now I enter the map and lets assume it loads the map fast since I have the game installed on a 512 GB Samsung Evo SSD. Now at some point either my inventory is full or I want to trade with someone or the map is cleared. So I want to portal out and back to my hideout. Here's where things get weird. It will load for a longer while than usual and then kick me to the login screen with a message window which reads "Disconnected. Failed to connect to instance." Now I login again and try to load the last town I was in, say it was Oriath in the Epilogue. Now it fails to load Oriath and the same error sends me back to login screen. So I relog again and this time Oriath loads just fine but now when I try to load into my hideout from the waypoint in Oriath it disconnects again with the same message and back to login screen. And I relog again and this time Oriath loads quickly, my hideout too, but when I enter a new map it once again kicks me to logic screen. So I reload again and now I am finally able to load in to the new map instance. This problem occurs sporadically, but when it does it usually comes in a chain reaction as described above. What really really kills the game ultimately with this issue, are layered instances, where you can not leave the area, such as the labyrinth, "don't die" Zana missions etc. I shouldn't say "sporadically", because of all of the merci labs I attempted in these 5 days it disconnected in one of the rooms 100%. What is funny is, that when I then reran the lab, the room that disconnected me would load fine but now the room after that one would cause the disconnect, and so on, and so on. I have never experienced something as weird and annoying as this. My rig is in state of the art condition, I have updated my gpu drivers, have disabled almost all graphic options or set the to lowest in poe, have switched from windowed fullscreen to fullscreen, have cleared the shader caches and the minimap cache, have given startup commands in the launch options in steam, I play the game via steam (--nologo and --waitforpreload). I have cleared all corrupt registries on my pc, have checked for updates for my ISP device, have checked my ISP service and my internet connection in general. And I have found nothing. Everything is supposedly working as intended. As of now I have installed the standalone client too and attempted to play through that and the same problem reoccurred, I have then reset the router as that seems to have solved the issue for some, it was okay for say 5 areas in merciless lab, then a room after the second Izaro fight again a disconnect. My firewall does not block poe or steam, I have manually opened the ports too even. As seen in the picture there is also this super weird incident of several gateways having "?" ping but I can still log into them? I also downloaded the WinMTR tool and checked for packet loss or loss of communication to all viable gateways and all of them are in mint condition apparently??? No clue what to do anymore. Have sent GGG support an email, it's been days now, still no reply. I am exhausted, I feel hopeless. Please if any of you knows a solution I haven't tried yet, please I beg you, help me. i have the exact same problem since the last weekend. Did not had this Problem before. Baking_Bread has described it perfectly. Have also tried some things (reinstallation / use other computer, account, settings). I'm looking for a solution, love the game, but that's not sustainable |
