Constant disconnects when loading zones

90% of the time for me it's trying to get into the game initially... whatever town my character is loading into, gets stuck on the loading screen and kicks me back to login with "unexpected disconnection"... usually happens about 10 times before I can actually get in.

its almost 2 weeks i sent here a post about that, nobody answered.
Im pissed off that game isnt playable anymore. There is only ONE thing im sure, im not going to waste my money anymore on this game.

it's a huge problem and ggg never really cared for it after they thought they fixed it on their end with the delayed loading of resources.

friend of mine plays on a laptop with a hdd and disconnects on loading most zones.
none of the command line parameters seem to help either.

he just gets permanently kicked from the server cause i think the client is taking too long loading the ressources even when setup to load them asynchronously.

ggg never explained how the mechanism works.

sighhhhhhhh..... Every week or so I find this topic and sift through the new pages which are currently at 90 to see if a fix for this bullshit has been found.

Really love the game but these random DCs urghh.

Every map I hop out of to sell something or visit a hideout for a trade is a gamble on whether Im heading back to the login screen or lucky enough to see the gears stop spinning and let out a sigh of relief.

I make a reddit post every other week to try spread the word but since its not some item tagged NSFW it doesn't seem to get noticed.

I'd like to give this WinMTR program a go but what do I put the host as? www.pathofexile.com?

I am chiming in on this. It seems worse this league. A pain in the A** and will eventually lead me to not want to play because of the disconnects. One happened when shaper was calling the Void guy after I killed the boss. I got kicked,crap.

After I join a map instance, I will disconnect before the end of the map, but not immediately after transitioning zones. Sometimes I will disconnect after 5 seconds, sometimes after 2 minutes. I can stay in hideout indefinitely wtihout disconnecting. I get the error message that "an unexpected disconnection has occurred."

I am on a wireless connection. I have tried resetting my computer, router, and wireless adapter. I have tried switching to different US gateways, as well as also trying European gateways, but the issue persists. I have used both this router and wireless adapter for several months to play the game with no issues, and my internet is not disconnecting, just my connection to the game server.

I can reconnect immediately after, but the map instance is always bricked and cannot be re-entered, if the portals are still there at all.

I had this problem, and this is what I did to mostly solve it - get faster Internet (FTTN - Telstra, yes I'm Aussie), and more importantly - put POE on a new SSD, there problem solved, and this is using a a pretty old computer by today's standards.

I did also buy more memory but unfortunately my motherboard gave me the beeps (tech's will know what I mean - incompatible) when I put in 2x4gb in dual channel mode, so I'll just have to live with 2x2gb until I get can another 2x2.

There, that's it, hope that helps other frustrated gamer's out there.

This has been happening to me for at least a couple weeks. Just happened on Elder. So much currency wasted, temples wasted, breachstones, safehouses wasted. It is so incredibly frustrating. Meanwhile GGG isn't updating their game, they're taking a victory lap and patting themselves on the back. So fed up. Didn't play Delve league, but it sure as hell didn't happen to me in Incursion.
