[3.0] Self-Cast Dark Pact Occultist - over 3mil Shaper DPS

You are using a little unreasonable gear but otherwise it looks similar to what i am building. Only difference is that i am running it as a Scion - using the same gear my level 100 character would get up to 2.9m against Shaper.... (20 Wither charges...unlikely really)

As already pointed out, grab a 2nd Apep's (our defense is not block based, we survive by doing damage and out-healing it... we can't stand toe-to-toe with bosses doing mediocre damage and relying on defenses). You need more dmg most likely.

Adding an Increased Duration to your Wither Totem setup will help it get to 20 stacks.

Get a Diamond Flask

Get a Vaal Haste (or if you are really into the defense thing, Vaal Grace). A normal Haste is useless to you.

I changed my ascendancy allocations and feel much better with the new setup.

Use a corrupted amulet (+1 curse) or Doedre's Ring to get two curses (you need 2 curses). You could theoretically path to Whispers of Doom for +1 curses and some curse effectiveness improvements, but I feel it is too skill-point intensive.

I am going to try and record some Tier 8, 9, 10 boss fights tonight (if I have time). I might have to actually put in a 5th link gem rather than just running on Item Rarity fifth.

Added a T6 Racecourse Boss Kill... over-shot at the end there and started taking damage just spamming Dark Pact. :P

Updated OP with Movement Gem Setup.

I decided on Flame Dash - Increased Duration - Faster Casting - Arcane Surge

It increases the time of Arcane Surge and is high enough mana wise to allow Level 13 Arcane Surge in my Gloves.



Also - ran a Tier 8 hexproof map... killing large mob packs for flasks was sufficient to not worry about lack of life leech. Surprising

Added a full Strand (T6) run with no mana/life regen mod to show some trouble you can get into with Dark Pact targeting as it is a bit wonky.

What I really should do is carry a hybrid flask for such moments instead of a health flask.

So far so good for me. I'm still kinda early in but I'm really liking this. I just got a chaos completed from all the harbinger drops so i guess i need to go buy the ring so i can run both the curses, been just doing warlords for the leech. I should get a few more of the support gems i need when i get dialla to activate the rapture device.

Which golem is the best? I saw you were using lightning so i went ahead and picked that one up but I just want to know if that is the most dps. Flame is just a flat damage increase from how it's written, does that include spells? is that more than the cast speed? Ice is crit chance and you got some crit in the build so how does that affect it?

i went and unchecked the hide characters tab on my profile so i guess you can look at it i guess. This is my first character in the league and i'm not a particularly good player so i'm sure i'll rip this character soon lul

Lightning Golem shows the most DPS for me.. b/c of the cast speed. Flame Golem does apply to spells, but is about 0.2% lower DPS for me per PoB calculations.

Fix you wand... it's white. Just make it magic at least :P

Best of Luck; also a 4-Link on DP is better than a 4-Link OoS setup; and saying that, please re-read my original post as I made some updates and no longer even use OoS.
