Hey playing the build atm 74 with 6k es~
is there any reason to not take a "Atziris Splendour Sacrificial Grab" with 569es~ which is a bit higher than the es on my vaal regalia? sry if this question is stupid as hell | |
When should I switch from Freezing Pulse to Caustic Arrow? as soon as possible?

There is no reason not to take it. As a budget item it's fine since vaal regalia's will have a max of 650 anyway. So having at least 60 total elemental res and a max of 72 is very good. Scoring a maxed out splendor will set you till you can afford a perfect vaal regalia with some t1's.
Take note that this guide was made before 3.0 and is far from being 3.0 optimized. Essence drain doesn't work with pierce anymore because it projectile bonus is not applying to this skill. Those kind of changes should be made in the guide. Besides the tree is not very well optimized. I've added my PoB with some optimization for 3.0. Credits goes to topicstarter for great direction. " Dreamer isn't worth it in my case. We need a little mana regen, but not the maximum mana increase. It's not an Mind over Matter build so stacking mana is not that useful. You just need to fire your spells every 4 seconds. Overcharged is 4 skillpoints to get endurance charges when clearing maps, but I personally am not a big fan of charges since you can't keep them up at bosses. Might have to reconsider when I reach t15 and I feel weak as paper to take the 3 endurance charges, but so far I am doing fine without. Melding is just not great. It only gives 5% es while there are nodes out there that give a 6% energy shield increase. That's why I travel to the scion area and take all nodes at witch starting area. Empower is a matter of budget. The moment the empower is not lvl 4 and in a +1 bow the DPS gain (1k at max) is very marginal. So I won't switch to empower before I can afford one and have the bow ready. Melee dmg on full life is changed since 3.0 and offers a more multiplier of 48% which is huge. Almost as good as the Concentrated Effect gem. Swift Affliction = Swift Demise. That's correct. |

A few things i wanted to note based off the POB research I've done.
For Dmg, Occultist Void Beacon is better than all the other damage related trickster Ascendancy nodes. Pretty easy to check yourself in PoB. If you can't afford witchfire brew flask or want a budget option you can consider spending 5 points taking the 4% reduced mana node under CI as well as the nodes to charisma for a total of 16% reduced mana reserved. Doing so leaves you able to run discipline, blasphemy vuln and temp chains and still have 10% unreserved mana to use CA with (low but doable). Empower is only worth using if you have it level 4. Otherwise these links are more dps: CA, Damage on full life, Conc Effect, Swift Affliction, Void manip, and Slower proj. Swapping Slower proj for pierce isn't a huge dmg loss if want to save the pierce nodes until late game which is what I plan on doing. Decay is nice for single target but since it applies to hits it won't effect the cloud dmg. A dread essence craft of porcupine bow for +2 to bow gems will end up helping your damage for clear much more than the decay craft and still leaves room for the chance of that lucky +1 on top of the +2. Also gives you a shot of still having room for leo DOT craft. Even after all of this I'm a bit worried that CA dmg isn't even close to a T1 skill ATM. I'm still going to try it out though. With almost all things perfect, +3 bow, lvl 21 CA, witchfire, frenzy charges, the dps I'm getting is 99.8 k DOT.
