[3.1] The Blinding Blizzard - Whispering Ice Berserker - Viable for Most Everything
" There are tons of MF builds that can clear trash with Bisco's etc. You can always level yourself a lv 80-ish MF'er and clear with it if you need more loot. And then just switch to the real build to kill the boss. |

absolutely love this build. my gear isnt that good but i can do t15 maps and stuff without much problems.

Ok so I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this build, I am now practically done with this league, wasted most of my currency on HH gambling, corrupting Kaoms, Astramentis etc.
Going for Divinity 2 now :)! Have a nice time everybody and thanks again! |
|
" You're welcome! :) Did you get Chayula done eventually? |
|
" No, I didn't bother anymore, but I would probably have been able to do it - maybe I will try it next week or so :)! Last edited by Edeka#4232 on Sep 21, 2017, 12:57:06 PM

Is the build possible and viable with another channeling skill, such as Storm Burst? I understand that there will be some loss in damage. I've played a SR Templar since starting the league and I'd love something different to come out of my right click.
I'd also love more variety in the available channeling skills in the game, but that's a discussion for another thread. |

" You can use any low-cost channelling skill, such as Storm Burst or Blight. It will look differently on the screen, if you really care about the graphics. However, those skills will do absolutely nothing except triggering Icestorm, while SR's -24% fire res is a serious damage bonus. You can even use Flameblast and do some actual damage. Of course, it still won't matter compared to Icestorm, and if you link it with the other support gems in the staff then it won't be a low-cost spell anymore and you will run into mana issues in some fights. |

I also want to say thanks for the build! Very well laid out and easy to follow. I really appreciated the indepth leveling section. I just hit Act 7 with it and this has been one of the most steamrolling builds ive played since i swapped to using Whispering Ice at 39.

" Yeah, the more I thought about it the more I realised it wouldn't be worth it to run anything else but SR in the long run, the debuff is too good. Assuming it doesn't get nerfed, I think I'll just make this my build for next league. It'll be nice to have a sweet build like this to start with. It's one of the more interesting ones I've seen and I'm excited to try it, but I don't want to burn out on Marauders and Scorching Rays. |

For all people asking if this build is HC viable:
IT IS but... Your only defense mechanic is leech. Don't rely on ES, don't rely on high amount of life, don't rely on armour, don't even try to rely on evasion. Leech is the only thing that keeps you alive. I died at lvl 86 during Beachhead rota. I had overcapped resistances, flasks active (phys reduction AND additional granite flasks - bassically I was immune to bleed, freeze and shock), I had tremendous amount of life - over 7k with Kaom's Heart (RIP chest). How I died? I don't know. People said that bearers killed me. Why I died? Probably I haven't attacked for a while so I had no leech, also no regen. It felt like a one-shot. I couldn't react to use my instant life flasks (one with a Bubbling prefix (half instant)). For experience per hour: While I was leveling solo, I could hit 100kk exp/h. That was the highest I could go. With my friend (blight + death aura guy) I could reach 110kk. Clear speed feeling was bad in case you care about it. Every boss was pretty easy while leveling, dps was pretty good, all went smooth. Conclusion?
Spoiler
Don't play on HC with 20 fps and HDD. Fuck.
