Anyone know how to fix the constant crashing? After losing two beachhead maps and getting kicked out of an uber lab with 3 treasure keys I don't even want to play anymore.

Dunno what part of this build does it, but I don't crash on any other character.

Are you using DX11? I had client crashes way too often with DX11, so I switched back to DX9Ex and that greatly reduced the amount of crashing. I still crash once in a while, but not often.

Beachhead is different, you get an instance crash there, not a client one. The map is gone, you cannot re-enter the portals after relogging, they are either gone or just poof when you click them. Usually happens when you approach the ledge that leads to the boss arena. And only when you are doing the map alone. I don't know what's so special about that area, but I had that happen on me way too often.

However, if you are going for the high levels, then running Beachhead solo is too inefficient compared to running it in a group. I gave up the solo runs for that reason, and I've never seen an instance crash in a group. There must be some bugged Harbinger mechanic there that wants multiple targets, or something like that.

Client crashes still happen sometimes, rarely. But that's not quite as bad as instance crash.

Trying HoGM again, in case they fixed at least some of the crash bugs...

Try 1: Cleared 1 wing easily, but at the end of the 2nd wing the instance crashed when I killed some kinda cross between mull_gubben and Harry Potter.

Gonna try again. If it's just 1 GM then it should have a 50% chance of not spawning.

Update: one other try crashed when I killed that same GM again, but 2 other times I ran into DanziGGG on high ground at the end of a wing. And that's the end of story: without 10k ES and 3 curses it's just too powerful. It hits from off-screen for more than 7k, so if it doesn't insta-die to pre-casted Icestorms - you are screwed. I almost killed it with PoL + Topaz flask, but still only almost.

There are so many things there that can kill you now, using the latest Ascendancies and Essences, it's totally out of control now. To clear it, you need to kill everything instantly the moment you activate the next wave. If you give them any chance to survive, something will kill you.

People are doing it with assorted mines currently. Mine damage is not properly scaled for PvP. They are supposed to be short range, so GGG never bothered tuning them for PvP. Who would be so stupid to walk into a mine, right? But a number of ranged skills got buffed recently that can be used as ranged mines. That's perfect for HoGM. You can find a number of HoGM clear videos on youtube.

I'm not going to bother with HoGM on this build anymore. Clearing it with 50% chance (when you don't get DanziGGG) is not good enough. This is not a PvP build. If you want to farm HoGM - level a miner just for this purpose, it's so much easier.

I had DX11, yes. I tried dropping to DX9 Ex but I ended up with a different problem. My framerate was dropping to 0 every 10-30 seconds and the game was rather unplayable.

I have actually started having some crashes in WoW recently, so I definitely think there's something wrong with my computer that I need to address, so in the meantime I'm just going to have to take a break from PoE or maybe try another build.

I have an 86 marauder/juggernaut that was a Sunder guy who's build I completely winged it on, but he ended up way too squishy to really progress further. Not sure if I should try to salvage him somehow or not. I have 300c atm that I could invest into getting another character solid for T11+ map farming.

Scored on this enchant from merc lab XD XD

I'm sure there's better but this here noob is happy.

just a little hint: DanziGG uses LA on an Inquisitor (decked out in mirror gear with a 550dps harbinger bow, 70 crit multi ammy and stuff like that), so topaz flasks are useless. Jade and Stibnite flasks, and potentially Rumi's, are the only flasks that help against him.

Try to disable Engine Multithreading. It worked for me. Not a single crash after I turned it off.

Oh, he's an Inquisitor now? Yeah, makes sense.

Well, it's still not worth the time. You cannot rely on flasks in HoGM, they don't get enough charges unless you mass murder everything, or use only Life flasks + Ryslatha.

I had an abandoned lv 67 Shadow in Standard. I specced him into Saboteur, dumped some old gear on him, leveled to 76 (to grab sockets), and then just annihilated HoGM with 0 deaths. At lv 76. Including DanziGG, he never got a chance. If you want HoGM, just use mines. They are completely imbalanced for that zone. The only HoGM build that cannot be killed with mines is mull_gubben, I counted 5 copies of him on that run. A swap weapon with SR took care of them easily.

After that I have 0 desire to bang my head against the wall with a real build like this one. PvP is a totally different game.

You don't need anything special against stun. Just use the Brine King and fully upgrade it.

Those boots are not good for this build. 8% Int is a small bonus when you only have 1400 Int. You can get about the same from 45-50 Int boots. But you want more Life and some resists from your boots too.

These can do for leveling, but lv 61 requirement is too high. At lv 68-70 you can start using real endgame boots already.

did 3 other beachead maps. And all crashed in boss room.
Still no fix

Hogm crashed also after one wing or two. I tried only as long as some guys come there are to strong. So i dont clear a wing completly. Still crashed.

And i used multe cpu or not direct 9 direct 9ex all the same. more often or not the map crash.

In normal maps i had no crash since 2 weeks with direct x 9 and no multi cpu.

Only hogm and beachhead

That's strange. I do 2 times bh rota, that mean 12 map BH, and got no crash.
year as kelvynn wrote.
It seems to be a problem with running maps alone.
But since there are to many chaotic groups i tried it allone after last patch
and nothing changed :-(
