Here's the Skill Gem information for the new Charged Dash!

seems like you can optimize it for either way you want to run it. what isn't defined is whether the maximum dash distance is based off your movement speed or not

The maximum range you can teleport is at 60 units - once the mirage gets there it stops moving )but still won't teleport you until you stop channeling). Faster movement speed just means that it gets to that point sooner.

then i'll definitely be getting as much movement speed as possible.

seems odd you can keep casting but not move anywhere further than its max distance, ahaha. will take a bit of getting used to.

60 units isn't too far. its like 2/3rds of the screen.
uhhh i can't WAIT to frickin try this thing out!!! friday can't come soon enough

Shouldn't it teleport you once it reaches the maximum distance? I mean, why would it keep channeling if that won't add any additional effect and you would be standing there just taking damage? I know that if I'm using a CwC setup it will keep casting that secondary skill gem used while I'm standing there but then it would be useless to use Charged Dash because it is the main skill.

I assume you'll continue to generate aoe attacks as long as you hold channel? So they'll just all end up on top of each other at the end of the dash if you hold it forever?

still think thematically this should be a spell. Looks cool, though.

I'm fine with it as an attack, but I think it could have used dex/int hybrid gem requirements. -_-

That would represent the spectral, mystical image placing well enough. I'm just thrilled I get to finally use the Inquisitor's Instruments of Virtue. It truly is a shame that gloves like Doryani's Fist, which is just dying to be used with this, is off the table.

that would be nice, but i kinda doubt that will be the case
I mean with blade flurry you can hold it until your eyes bleed but it won't release until you're ready. I'm glad I can decide when I want to release the skill, I would hate to be forced to go somewhere versus I'm in control of when I'm ready to move.

this isn't a valid comparison, as blade flurry isn't a movement skill.

except if you just keep channeling literally nothing happens. you're not moving farther, and you're not doing damage because it only does damage when you release and teleport.
the auto release at max range makes sense, that way you're not just wasting time if you don't have the timing down.

So this really is the long awaited "Hit fast, do phys damage, be smart for big AoE" skill that Pillar of the Caged God has been waiting for, right?
Why am I wearing a heavy belt if I haven't got any pants?
