It's a great idea. Sorry for proving you wrong. This is a challenge league. It's not meant to be a "stable" or "standard" league. You play it to complete challenges. Just because other people treat it like a regular league shouldn't take away from why many people play challenge leagues. It forces you to do more than just grind, you need to be clever, to learn the markets, to buy-and-sell, to plan. It forces you to be aware of different mechanics. It forces you to get better.

Because the game is fun. They're pretty different than previous mtx rewards too, which is insanely refreshing. You can only have so many colored glow effects before it starts to feel derivative. Finally they're doing something fun with shapes.

And here I think they look great. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean everyone agrees with you. There have been many league rewards I didn't much care for, but you know what I didn't do? Spout off on the forums telling GGG they should scrap it and start over. Do you really think they're lazy? Who else pushes out 6 new acts in one expansion? For free? WHO? Here they finally do an mtx that isn't some boring glow or flame and everyone who thinks everything needs to be skulls and burning demons comes out to tell them out bad they are and how there's no point to play the league. Pitiful.






To everyone who complains that there is no reason to do the challenges because the rewards "suck", which I couldn't disagree more, then you are missing the entire point of challenges. You feel so entitled to some stupid pat on the back for playing a game. Perhaps you need to take a step back and really think about why you play this game if the reward of good free mtx is the only reason you play. Challenge should be about enjoying the game, pushing yourself further than last league, trying new things. If you're someone who thinks they're too easy add a self-imposed-rule like trying hardcore or aiming for zero-deaths in softcore, play solo self-found, or add time restrictions per character before rerolling. The point is find what you enjoy in this game and do it, but don't force those of us who genuinely enjoy the game to sit through your "critique" because you only care about the handouts at the end of the league.

MTX are fine. At least you know from which league they are.
Well, well, well, once again MTXs are just a way to go for 40/40 one more time for me, I'm only worried about endgame grind, but I think I'll manage it somehow.

I kinda agree on this, the grind are... well, a grind.

And though I thought I would never do Atziri again after the first time I killed her 100 times, or did, what was it? 1200 volls (without a single brittle emp I can add) I thought I'd be done with grinds all together.

But... I do like the interaction we have in the guild for these grinds. So thats something :)

As for the challenge for killing certain bosses under certain requirements, like atziri without getting hit by storm call or the cursed king without getting hit by his wolf barrage....

These are very "cool idea" challenges and at first I was super excited, because they are new and sound fun.... however it completely ruins your atlas, which makes these awful.

So now we have to do certain maps to kill the boss under certain conditions, just so we can pay like 25c per map to lock it out afterwards. Not very fond of that whatsoever.



As for the MTX's I think the crown + character effect are both prty ugly. Will have to see in game, but the one im most excited about is the glowing eyes lol

You seem to forget that most/all the content eventually rolls into the core leagues. You know, where people have level 100 characters so that they don't have to grind levels each and EVERY single time a league releases. The only incentive, aside from league mechanics, are the MTX rewards. Everything else can eventually be obtained. So, when those challenges or MTX rewards aren't up to par with the expectations of players of course they won't feel heavily incentivised. This is especially the case when we know that many nerfs are coming in the "fall of diversity" or "fall of builds" patch. Many easy/cheap builds won't be what most consider "viable" this coming patch. This coming alongside charge changes only increases that impact.

So, you will have to excuse those who are a bit "displeased" with the rewards.

is it just me, or are these rewards not even worth doing???
If GGG wants i can provide them league challenge that will keep ative 40/40 players for at least two months.
