[3.6 Video Guide] Beginner's Guide SRS Baron Life [HC/SC/Atziri/Uber Izaro/Shaper Viable]

First of all, thanks for this guide and to those who answered me earlier.

Since I read all this post and tried my best to stick to it, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I could improve : https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/regmuse/characters

With 5K hp and resist at 75, I still feel quite weak...

I know I'm missing astramentis and jewels with %life and minion damage.

Beside that, I don't see how it could be very much better :/

Also I have a question about a ring I got. It says it add fire damage to my attacks.
Is it bad for my EE ?

Been using your guide this season and its been working out very well.

I have a quick question though if you rule lvl 21, 20 quality gems out on the ground of affordability is a lvl 20, 20 quality or lvl 21, 0 quality srs gem better?

For most gems the 20 quality is far better than the 1 extra level but in SRS case I'm thinking that 10% more damage is better than 20% movement speed.

What do you think?

Pretty new? You got a dope AF staff that I literally never see on newer players for this build >.<
Due to me moving to a new apartment the responses have gotten very delayed, I'm looking at your character and I don't see how you can improve it by a lot, I mean, higher numeric values is a given take on anyone, at any time pretty much. However, you could switch your belt for something else granting you more life vs bosses.
I'd assume due to the late response that you've improved your gear since you posted your comment? If you still need help, let me know!

Oh it's my pleasure, I do my best to keep up!

Sure;
Both rings have fairly low HP.
Boots are fairly low on HP as well but does grant strength so that's good.
Staff can be improved to get a +3 instead but only if you feel a lack of dmg which I doubt, your staff grants a ton of cast speed as well which is a nice QoL addition for now :)

First thing I'd try to sort is getting some dexterity if you need on one of the rings to save you 2 skillpoints to reach +30 dex.

Nice! Glad it's working out for you :)

21/0 > 20/20 SRS, lvls does way to much to give up on, this does not just include DMG, it's accuracy as well as the least important part; minion life.

Generally, spells & minions (not always) benefits more from extra lvls over quality.

I used to wear astramentis amu then I got Bisco's collar so I managed to find enough dexterity to wear it.

I use Bisco to farm and I don't really need anymore astramentis.

Would you know a high end amulet to use for T14-T16 maps ? I'm looking for something that would either give me a lot more damage or defense.

I was thinking corrupted sidhebreath with added minion damage taking it to around 30% added minion damage. What do you think about that ?

Hello all!

I'm currently running an SRS/Zombie Baron build right now (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1862209). I'm hating Zombies in any situation that isn't insta-gibbing packs while mapping and am looking to switch to SRS only. Since you use Baron as well, I figured it might be easier to make the swap that the other build I was looking at (Huy's SRS build).

I was wondering, is using a +2 6-link Staff with Blood Magic better to "start" with than using The Scourge + Lycosidae (with NA of course)? I already have Scourge/Lycosidae, which is why I'm asking. I figure without Blood Magic I'll be having heavy mana issues for SRS.

Also, I notice you don't have a lot of Jewel sockets taken, do you feel the build does enough damage for end-game content (uber atziri, elder, shaper) with what it has? Or if I plan on that, I should try and grab more sockets for Ghastly Eye Jewels?

Matter of personal taste tbh, keep in mind that Astramentis gives strength which is applied (50% of it) to minions via the Baron helmet so it increases the dmg done as well :)

Hey,

Scourge/Lyco is a solid choice but generally recommend to use a +1 lvl of socketed gems chest piece for it as well. You'd lose out on the Haste aura but in general be fine, and as you say you gota be careful with your mana.

Uber Atziri is managable but a bit tough these days for SRS for a long list of reasons but everything else is a walk in the park :)

Abyssal jewels with %minion dmg when you've used a minion skill recently is insanely broken for all summoner builds ^^

A bit confused about this Abyssal jewels being broken thing.

I'm actually looking for cobalt jewels with minions damage et % on life (+eventually elemental resist and or str/dex when I can afford it).

Abyssal will have minions damage (skill recently) and flat life (34 at the most if I'm correct). It seems to not be able to roll these 2 with elemental resist.

My point is that :
- you've got the same damage on both cobalt and abyssal.
- 34 hp is way under 6 or 7% life if you've got decent stuff.
- Elemental resist seems to be the third line you want on a jewel and abyssal can't have it if it has flat life on it.

Am I missing something or is Abyssal jewels crap compared to cobalt ?

Ps : I'm still using an abyssal in my belt but it's only because I couldn't put a cobalt in it.

In the end, I found out that you can simply buy a rare with near 100 str AND 70+ life for a few chaos. I'm using this for hard fight.

Flat life will grant you much more life than a normal jewel since we have so much %increased life already from the tree.
30 flat life would grant much more life than a 7% increase life rolled cobaly jewel, if it's below 30 then it's w/e (again, compared to a 7% rolled life).
The abyssal minion dmg goes up to 20%, cobalt goes to 16.


Elemental Resistance is an option but is very hard to come by, however, you can get other minion dmg mods from the Abyssal jewels on top of this such as cast/atk speed, flat dmg, flat ele dmg etc

I would keep the Baron as the 50% strength applies to minions is global and will increase their dmg done :)
