Hi :),

i am playing this build in a slightly different setup. Your gear is okay but without resolute technique you really have to get accuracy at some pieces. I would recommend to change the amulet and rings first. Try to focus on life, accuracy and weapon elemental damage and fill in the resistances you need over this three pieces. Otherwise getting the Lycosidae would be the route to go for me but maybe thats out of your budget.
I checked your tree. I am playing without Vaal Pact and dont miss it. Spec out of it and out of one life node on the scion life wheel and you could instead get a socket on the right side of the tree. A 7% inc. life jewel with some additional stats would optimize you tree in my opinion.
Btw. very nice Belly :).

The gloves could be upgrade to an elder glove with

Socketed Gems are supported by Level # Faster Attacks /
#% increased Attack Speed

& put frost blade for pseudo 5-link.

Is the flask setup already optimal?
Or would it be better if I swap something out for Taste of Hate or Dying Sun?

No on the Dying Sun.

No on the Taste of Hate as well, unless you want it for its defensive quality.

What do you think about using Bloodseekers instead of ToA or Wasp's nests? Seems like the lack of crit roll on em kinda hurts but the instant leech seems good

Instant leech doesn't feel necessary. Vaal Pact is good enough in my opinion; some here don't even use Vaal Pact.

Well, as said before :
- You need some accuracy because you don't have any on weapons, so get it on rings/amulet. Good rings amulet are : high life, some res, accuracy, and any bonus damage stats like crit chance / crit multi / flat elem / flat phys / WED (however i don't know which ones are the best). You should look for enough accuracy to hit at least 90%+. If you don't know why, check on the wiki how critical strikes and accuracy interacts and you will understand :)
- Elder gloves, with faster attacks (and faster projectiles is nice too). BUT you still need life on them, and other nice stats are res and flat damages.
- For your clearspeed, quality on some gems is missing in whirling blades and frost blades setups.
- For jewels, look for murderous eye jewel with flat elemental damages, general or with claws. It's also nice to have on them life, or some res / intel / strength to help getting requirements.
- Also obviously, helmet enchantment additional molten strike projectile is a HUGE dps boost, but it's quite expensive (~10ex I think).
- As a personal taste, I prefer rare boots over Atziri because I'm not a big fan of spell dodge in general, but it's clearly subjective.
Are we suppose to have max resistance with this build because it feels so hard to keep all the gear at 75%. I'm not sure how I am going to be able to replace my chest with a belly if I don't go for some resistance nodes somewhere.
sorry if i missed this but is the new 6 link Hillock sword any good for this build? i was thinking of farming one to lvl with till i get to wasp nest level but wondered if it useful after to have double 6 links.
was molten strike+ ac fixed on bosses?

You have 5 rare pieces: 2 rings, amulet, belt, and gloves. Get res on all of them. Belly itself gives a little bit of res as well. If this is still too expensive for whatever reason, get a pair of rare boots.
Back at it again with my first Shaper kill this league: https://youtu.be/Hj4yWQlAkyI

The guide has been updated a little (mostly on progress, the build itself is the same). I'll upload videos of my guardian kills later once I'm back from work.
