I don't get it. I've got pretty decent gear (will post below). My tooltip damage (unbuffed) is 9.3k on KB and 6.3k on Barrage.
Mob packs die instantly, but Bosses absolutely annihilate me. I get slapped and instantly die - or I slowly die because my Barrage damage can't keep up. Could someone, for the love of Kitava, please check what I am doing wrong? You can check my talents in my character, named Gandalf. Gear:

" 76 is pretty low level for t13's, you don't have any jewel socket yet, get a dying sun and use Conqueror's Potency. Some of your gems need to be leveled to scale well with all the % lightning/elemental damage, try to get Added Lightning, Wrath, WED and Slower projs to 20/20 asap, priority is level 20/21 added lightning and wrath. All gems 20/20 plus a dying sun and 2 levels for Conqueror's puts you at 650k~ damage which should be plenty, thunderfist can boost single-target further, could also use Herald of Thunder and a different curse for bosses, like EleWeakness/ProjWeakness/Conductivity. Once you have higher damage probably respec out of the leech nodes and see if you're comfortable with only 0.4% leech from Blood Drinker, if yes then spec 1 point on mana leech on Essence Sap cluster and use the free points for something else! " Phosphenez answered the bulk of your problems. You mainly need a bit more levels (character and gems) along with some gear upgrades for more life, added lightning damage, and WED. One thing that wasn't addressed though is your Vinktar. You have a conversion Vinktar (20% of physical converted to lightning damage) but you have ZERO physical damage (Piscator's), so your Vinktar is effectively only giving you 10% more damage due to shock, and that extra life leech. I would recommend you swap that out for something like Atziri's flask, which will give you much higher DPS until you find a Lightning Pen or add damage to attacks Vinktar. Once you do, you can replace the basalt for Atziri flask. I would also recommend swapping your Lightning Pen gem for either increase critical strikes, or crit multi gem for the meantime. T13 and lower mobs/bosses don't have insane amounts of resist so I think the raw damage would benefit you more at the moment. Also, since your gloves don't have life, I would recommend you get a pair of Thunderfists. Your essence craft is only for socketed gems (aka your KB) so your barrage is not benefiting from all that fire damage. However, the lightning damage on a Thunderfist is global and thus heavily increase your barrage damage in combination with Piscators over the projectile damage implicit. I'll also grab that jewel socket right next to Vaal Pact and slap on a Static Electricity for free lightning damage. The Dying Sun flask is easily the biggest boost to DPS by far with this build, but it is also super expensive and not an "easy" fix. yup i was noticing the same problem. getting one shot by everything under the sun and stuff. dps on barrage is great but the level of boss hp just prolongs the fights regardless of anything.
i am running vaal pact right now but i'll probably spec out of it honestly because a one shot is a one shot. but the biggest issue i noticed was trying to get into mid tier maps at too low of lvl. this is the #1 thing. #2 thing is map mods. you basically shouldn't do any mods that will make you take extra damage. vulnerability, extra dmg, maybe even boss hp should all basically be a reroll. next is to avoid damage as much as possible. yes i know we use point blank which is great when it works out well but that means being nose to nose with the boss who is itching to eat your corpse. still need to pop that quicksilver and avoid any and all hits you can. it prolongs the fight even more but at least you'll survive. it also allows time for your non vaal pact leech to catch up. if you have vaal pact you're better off facetanking and eating the dmg so long as you can't get one shot. and thats half the problem. everybody is so used to face tanking with vaal pact that we're not used to having to do anything about one shots potential damage/bosses. |

Why not supplement your build with gems, banks, lvling and make a normal design of a bunch of stones?

Static electricity might be good early, optimally you want 5-7% max hp, 1-3 offensive mods(aspd with wand, aspd with shield, global aspd, crit multiplier, projectile damage, increased damage, lightning damage)and/or resistances+stats if needed. |

Hi, was just wondering which curse should i use instead of assassin mark for guardians / shaper (2.5M dps on PoB but my dps on phoenix is like inexistant)
