Can the blue limit line be disabled in menu options? Not that I don't like it but, should be optional. Anyway great minimap, totally awesome.

So first thing first, this is fantastic.

I was going to mention the vision distance blue line being removed, but I note a few others have already mentioned it.

As a subsidiary question, will there be any further map changes? Will the minimap be revealled to all players in a party as any individual player in that party explores?

This looks nice, but I still have one concern, the background colour of the explored areas and unexplored areas are the same, how would this look on big open maps?

The problem right now is that sometimes it is hard to see where you have explored already, maybe those blueish borders will help, but I think if the backgrounds were different colours it would help a lot too.
I would like to suggest to GGG (if it has already been announced, I've might overseen it) if they are working on the mini map anyway, that you add unopened Strongboxes to the mini map, which you've already discovered but not opened. Only if you've discovered them already of course.

Sometimes it happens, if you want to keep them for the end of the map and want to use a buff before for the next mob or boss or for whatever reasons, that you walk by and later might forget to open it cause of a hard battle and when you have to focus on other things.

Then, if you are not sure if you've forgotten one or if the map has many angles or is just deeply structred, you have to walk back and forth and check every corner again to find the strongbox.

An icon of it on the mini map would prevent that, and may also help to not miss a strongbox you've may just forgotten because of the forementioned reasons.

Looks great and awesome! One thing i would looove to see is "blue line" opacity slider(0-100%). If both were at 3.0 launch it would be orgasmic.
Old minimap was perfecly fine to me specially since i learned to use the map properly. Though good to see the developers work on improvements.
The huge list of things to fix from closed beta is finally complete after many years of hard work.
