Labyrinth test - one year later

i think you guys repeat lies spread by others

AR is working as intended - izaro with AR (like 10k AR) is EzPz. without it - it is a oneshot waiting to happen

EV, AR - both have its place in the Lab - in the Izaro fight. I do not get why AR does so little vs traps, but i can live with that. just do not get hit. but Izaro without both AR and EV is tough

ofc 10k ES + instant leech is better but that is a completely separate issue

I remember playing diablo 2 (the inspiration for this game) like almost 20 years ago and in act 1 they had this puzzle of Cairn stones that you had to hit in a certain order for The Search for Cain quest. Sure seems like you didn't have to get very far into that arpg before encountering a puzzle.

If that was a puzzle then there are puzzles everywhere you look!

It's more of a puzzle than flipping a switch to open a door...

There isn't a single "puzzle" required to complete the laby. The switches for doors are even shown on the minimap for fucks sake. The only actual puzzles in there are for side content, completely optional.

Yet another example of making a mountain out of a molehill...
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

Or just being of bad faith.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
The most puzzling puzzle of all is how the labyrinth is still a boring, crappy, non-optimized mess.

Second: "armor based"? 2017, come on... Armor won't save from heavy hits & if enemy has elemental portion of damage.

it actually will. You already got 75% damage reduction against the ele part, the ele might push it over the edge but the physical will be the bulk of the damage you take if you are not heavily invested into physical mitigation.

I don't agree that D2 stones was more of a puzzle but I do agree that the stupid levers are not really a puzzle either. I just remember going on and on running back and forth across burning floors pulling levers in an endgame trial and it went on and on. It was the most boring piece of crap that I remember ever playing in a game.

You can call it making a mountain out of a molehill if you like. I can only respond to that with the fact that I no longer play PoE because Diablo 3 and Grim Dawn are both more fun than dealing with that boring molehill of a Labyrinth in PoE. It's sad because PoE was my favorite game of all time prior to the release of Labyrinth.

The levers that have to be activated/deactivated are extra stupid. This is supposed to be an ARPG not a puzzle game. If I wanted to play a puzzle game I would start up a puzzle game not PoE.

Nice contradiction there.

Mhmm, Burning Rage can be a pain in the ass the first time you run it. So don't do Uber trials/laby. Most builds can work fine with only 6 ascendancy points.

It is what it is...
Especially when you make statements like this:

They can leave the stupid puzzles in for people that like them, just make the puzzle content optional.

The actual puzzles are optional in every sense of the word.

Cool story bro.

I thought that I admitted using the wrong term. If that's not good enough for you then "Sorry that I misspoke and called the stupid levers a puzzle."

I was trying to say that the labyrinth should be made optional.

Can we stop with the "lab sucks" rehash please? It got so old. Lab is what it is. Some people like it and others don't, and that's perfectly fine. But not liking the lab doesn't mean that it should be removed. Don't do it or ask someone to carry you through it, that's all there is to it.
