Intro Hello guys, this build is intended for Softcore play (Healthy Mind Guardian is a much better option for a RF build on HC atm). I wanted to make a build around Esh's Visage unique, as cheap as it could be, and I always liked RF (even though I never played it) so Esh's RF was born. Guide status : up to date Guardians First of all, this was my first time doing any of this fights so I apologize for my lack of experience. IMO I think that you can achieve deathless kills on any of the guardians with this build if you are more experienced. Flask awareness its very important as well (do not panic) !!!. Optimal Flask setups: I would say 4 Ruby Flasks + Witchfire Brew will be the optimal setup. However, this depends on personal preferences. Avoid the Explosion skill from the boss, as it can one shot you and lowers your +max fire res. Minotaur (Difficulty:hard) : https://youtu.be/qwHoWb4u-Ww " Tip : Not sure about this one. Item Requirements: 2x Opal Rings (with Elreon mod). 1 ring should have added Lightning or Cold dmg to Attacks. 400+ ES Hubris Circlet 250+ ES Sorc Boots. Look for resists here (Inc Mov Speed not Required but nice to have). Lvl 21 Purity of Fire + Lvl 3 Empower. This helps us get rid of Voideye Unset Ring. Gems Setup: 4l: Discipline/Vitality/Enlighten/Arctic Armour 3l (3 Red Mod from Vorici on Esh's Shield) : Purity Of Fire (lvl21)/Blood Magic(lvl20)/Empower(lvl3) 4l : CWDT / IMM CALL / TEMP SHIELD / ~~Inc Duration~~ Orb Of Storms Follow the guide for the rest of the gear, gems, etc... I sinked all my currency on Legacy League crafting and didn't get nowhere near this setup, I don't have enough time atm to try this unfortunately. If anyone wants to help me test this setup send me a PM !!!. Stats Thoughts & 3.0 DoT Changes This is the first build that allowed me to do most of the content so far, I did up to t16 maps with no problem whatsoever and on a budget of about ~4ex. Lets talk about Shaper and Uber Atziri. This are some big milestones for this build particularly, I wouldn't say you will be able to farm Shaper or Uber effectively with this build but its doable. However this requires some ivestment: please refer to the Shaper / Uber section. With the current setup the biggest issue is sustaining Shaper/Uber fights, once we run out of flask charges it gets extremely difficult. 3.0 DoT Changes (Dev Manifesto) - Speculations " An example of this is the Increased Burning Damage Support, which will now grant a multiplicative bonus. This could mean that the longer we stay on a target we will be dealing multiplicative(more %) DoT damage. So by this we will be getting a buff against bosses with higher life pools (act 10 maybe ? Shaper/Uber ?). Since Burning Dmg its not an ailment Ele Focus and Ele dmg from tree should still apply to RF on 3.0. Lvl 91 Tree Bandits: Kill/Kill/Kill http://poeurl.com/bgrx How does this build Works ? There are 3 mandatory uniques that make this build work. The first one as this guide says its Esh's Visage unique Shield. " Purity of Fire ring basically. " But why not Shavs ?. As I said I wanted to use Esh's Visage so its mandatory, besides its a lot more cheaper than getting a Shavs (having 2+ auras doesn't justify going LL imo). We have to be carefull not going below 35% life and mana. Even if you are at exactly 35% u will get one shot by chaos, because you know round numbers science so u should keep your mana and life reservation around 36%. " Really ? Beast Fur Shawl ? Why not a Vaal Regalia. I'm keeping the low budget mindset here, but thats not the reason why I picked this Body Armour. 40% Increased Energy Shield Recovery Rate. This is an important stat, make sure to have a perfect roll here. Notice that it says Recovery Rate and not Recharge Rate so this applies to Zealot's Oath helping us sustain RF. Patient Reaper (Trickster Node) 60% increased Recovery Rate of Life, Mana and Energy Shield if you've Killed an Enemy affected by your Damage Over Time Recently. Simple math here 100% Inc Recovery Rate after killing an enemy The increase in energy shield recharge rate will show on the character sheet, however passive regeneration (and, by extension, energy shield regeneration via Zealot's Oath) will not. The interaction has been confirmed by GGG[1] and through independent testing. (Patient Reaper on poe wiki). This means it also affects ES Recharge (Vaal Dicipline bro !!!) " Old Setup " I'm able to sustain RF without the need of Fragile Bloom. However, make sure to have 2% life regen on hit Enchant on boots !!! (Uber Lab) Jewels: * % Energy Shield * % Resistances * +Strength Playstile !!! IMPORTANT READ Be aware of your Flasks !!!!! I'll put them in order: This is the most important flask to get your ES back after a big hit. It increases your max fire res so you gain more ES regen. Dps Flask. Lvl 21 Vuln !!! Situational Flasks (you can change this as you want) Defensive setup: If we get on a tough spot our flasks wont save us, CwDT + Imm Call + Tempest Shield will help but its not enough. Here is where the new Vaal Discipline comes to the rescue. What it does ? Energy Shield recharge is not delayed by dmg, no more RF degen bro !!! Instant full ES. Not so budget Items 1 - Energy From Within 2 - Presence of Chayula This items are not required but they are a great boost to our build. Gems Gloves (30% Dot Dmg - around 1ex): RF/Elemental Focus/Inc Burning Dmg/Inc Aoe - Conc Effect 3l: Shield Charge/Faster Attacks/Fortify 3l: Bloodmagic (lvl20)/~~Clarity~~Empower/Discipline 4l: Enlighten (Lvl3)/Vitality/Arctic Armour/Orb of Storms 3l: Vaal Lightning Trap/Vaal Discipline/Inc Duration 3l: Spell Totem/Faster Cast/Scorching Ray 4l: CWdT/Imm Call/Temp Shield/Inc Duration Current Gear Leveling Tree TBD TO-DOs Try Shaper and Uber Atziri. Add lvling Tree and gear. This is my first ever guide so I hope you guys liked it. I was skeptical at first but I actually really like this concept. Really cool that you can free up your chest slot for an item like Beast Fur Shawl, since it synergizes so well with RF. I need to do some testing on how to lvl this character and the best tree for it, however I would suggest lvling with Firestorm taking the Elemental Nodes from the Shadow tree and the hybrid life/es nodes. This is what I've been looking for as Shav's is stupidly expensive and I have an Esh's lol. Really interesting use of unique items. Could you do this build as a Occultist? The weapon of choice its bound to personal preference with this setup, I like doryani better but its not a mandatory item. You would lose some flat ES from the ascendancy itself however Vile Bastion could be a nice boost to defense (vs Patient Reaper 60%), you will have to test this one. I would also go Malediction for the +1 Curse and change Shield Charge / Attack Speed / Fort to Shield Charge / CoH / Flammability, you could endup doing more dps with this.
