Hello. I'm a developer with 5 years of experience, in the process of finding a job. After finishing my last job I decided to make a solo demo project to add to my portfolio in order to both prove my abilities - and also to support my application to join an ambitious project where I could keep learning and developing.
I'd like to ask you some questions related to the hiring process. 1.- During a hiring process, regardless the position, which elements are more important for you? (experience, portfolio, cover letter...). 2.- When looking for designer to hire, which skills you think are more relevant? 3.- Which elements you consider are must have for any candidate? Which elements you consider are must have for a game designer? Would be possible to give you my portfolio (web link) to get some feedback? It would be awesome to hear some feedback from you. Another question I was thinking on last week.. ¿how many hours did you work while releasing the first patch after 2.6.0 release? How do you manage to keep a healthy, quick and sustainable development process for a small/mid team? Thank you very much. |

Hi, considering the future with private servers? Years ago you said that you think about it. Thank you

After you have implemented all of the acts (and basically finished the game) will you focus more on performance? AKA the memory leak, burning ground, SRS with 12 auras lag, etc.

Why does the guild stash working differently than regular stash tab?
(e.g. moving tabs, CTRL+clicking items, swapping cursor item for stash item etc.) Last edited by daFalk#6581 on Mar 13, 2017, 5:36:40 AM

Why not implement an Auction house?
Spoiler
I always loved waking up to cash deliveries from AH in WoW.

Do you have any plans to make this game more based on teamplay? I think of things like raids were in warcraft but a bit smaller, whilst implementing skills that fill in other roles than dealing damage, self-defence or buffs debuffs (like defence of others or heals). These could may be implemented without making definate roles for an entire character (I mean implementing such a way that a tank defending a team of damage dealers could still deal damage but less thus not making the gamplay of that character boring and enabling self-clear for non-teambased maps).
Also do you plan to implement a dps counting dummy like we've seen in other games? As tooltips are mostly showing false data it could be clearly usefull. This solution would keep our calculations closer to reality whilst not indicating anything bout clear speed and aoe thus not creating scenarios where one build is strictly better then an other. |

Are there any plans to somewhat slow combat down? Lower damage across the board (for mobs too) to make some space for in-combat regeneration (not only instant flask or lifesteal) and more thoughtful in combat movement?
Shaper/guardian fights look good from this point of view, but can this style be implemented on map bosses to make them more mechanically challenging in place of just kite/dps check? =) Oh! Are there plans for dummies in HO to check our real dps? Or at least give us way to use Greust for dummy. Just once. Please *grins with eyes full of bloodlust P.S. Yeah, I'm on of those who likes WoW-dungeon bosses and wants more "adds with ideas" and "void zones" ^^ Last edited by Evershifting#2178 on Mar 13, 2017, 5:44:35 AM

Could you imagine a concept of Solo Self Found for Guilds with a maximum number of players?
People get in and are in SSF mode. They can only join one guild once with a lvl 1 character. Anything item on the char is deleted. Now people can trade in their little micro community. Leaving the guild is like migrating SSF. I see trading as a big part of poe but is also only feasible with third party tools and services. And then there are scammers and bots that will do screw the whole thing. The in game system of trading is a horrible experience: Spamming chats and running around to meet people. What about a market or contracts like in Eve online? Game becoming too easy? Something might be wrong then with the game itself. SSF is a bit harsh and I'd like to see a way to be in an isolated but dedicated sub community without the need to face the hostile world of said trading as it is right now. |
