Legacy League just became best league ever.

Why? I'm only up to Cruel Dried Lake and using:

Now more than even Perandus League I need to play Legacy League as much as I can.

It took me a little time to warm up to Legacy League but now my exile is happy so I'm happy. I also got this right out of the gate in Normal Mud Flats:

Thanks. This will get me into maps easily using my phys/crit Frost Blades skill with:


Now I can get the 2nd pair of Ascendancy points, get the Champion's Fortitude so I can drop the Fortify support gem, and my support gem options will be wide open.

Note: I still have 4 more chances to get more good items off the rogue. Dried Lake is the perfect outdoor environment to run Leaguestones in.

Yes, regular melee still sucks. But I got a Frost Blades gem at the start and decided to use it. Now at level 61 I'm cruising through Merciless and haven't died yet so I'm happy with my choice so far. Freezing packs and then crit shattering them is quite pleasing. So far playing SSF isn't lagging me out to infinity and beyond (yet) so here's hoping the ramp up into maps will continue to work well. I ran the Cruel Lab at level 58 and Izaro was a moderate challenge. Having Fortify up all the time + high armor makes for a nice tanky build and I didn't need to over level much.

Frost Blades is in the same class as Blade Flurry in that GGG calls it a melee skill but I can be quite a ways away and still hit the first creature and then the 6 blades can go almost to the edge of the screen to hit other targets so it really isn't melee to me. Nevertheless it is fun with a fast build to smash everything while moving quickly. I tried it with Chain but that slowed the clear speed as the animations take more time. Don't have a Fork yet to see if that is better for keeping speed up. Only downside to my 6L chest is only 1 green socket (rats) and thus I had to give up Hypothermia. Oh well, the added fire damage and physical to lightning gets my DPS up higher so until I can get a 6L with more green sockets I'll make due with it. So far using Ancestral Protector is working well but for endgame I may need to switch totems. Not sure as it's the first time using that totem (ah... so many build combos... so little time). But this is why I play PoE over D3. It's build heaven forever.

Slightly faster, much better weapon range, and has the physical, crit, and weapon elemental that syncs perfectly with Frost Blades. Plus the extra 5% move speed is nice.
