Im already at endgame with chieftain brutus' lead sprinkler and im at 1.1k str and 6.1k life right now. The only skill thats working well atm are sunder and earthquake. You wont get past tier 6-7 maps with ST sadly since you cant really get much attack speed on this build.

Yeah, I'm starting to realize this as well at level 66... It's kinda sad because I wanted it to work with ST. I'm at 1k str, still need to get some more damage scaling but not that much, and ST is at 10k dps. I was expecting a bit more, to be honest.

I'm playing ST, I have 30k dps unbuff as a Berserker, and 45k buffed.
It OS trash in a T8 map (Bog).

I'm playing with almost 900str, 5800hp & 950 ES (Geoffri's).
I don't have a Xoph yet.

I've done Atziri normal. I'm using ST to clear trash and a 4L Molten Strike to kill Boss.
It works pretty well so far.

Sadly, I didn't do anything higher than that because I'm not dropping maps :(
It went way better than what I expected for a pretty poor gear (~1ex, i've done 6l chest myself).
Was currently testing this build on chieftain and I've come to realize that this build cannot survive without leech. Tried to run a setup without it, assuming I could get enough armor to be tanky enough to take a hit, but it's impossible to run. I was wanting to go elemental overload as well, but the amount of accuracy needed to make this build work is too demanding and it requires a lot of gear that you will probably won't have the currency or time for. That being said, this build by far was one of my favorite lvling builds. I used Molten Strike as my main setup and used two Wildfire jewels to give Molten Strike a free GMP and a bigger radius for clearing maps. I could kill bosses in seconds and it was amazing. Sadly though, I think I'm going to recraft it one more time before throwing in the towel. If going for Elemental Overload, I would suggest going Beserker. Since we have leech from ascendancy, we can build all the way into the witch tree without worrying about going so far into duelist. I like the ST idea though. I might consider it if all else fails.
I think the molten strike threshold jewel is completely worth it. I am play BLS too but im going chieftain with ice crash as area and molten strike as single target. I am using the MS threshold jewel and those 2 extra projectiles are amazing for single target right now. but for single target that area spread out the balls a little too much so once i get a 5 link i think conc effect will be worth for single target but thats if you dont mind swapping out.

I am wondering if the unique helmet Baron would be good for extra dps. Because you would have 6 zombies at 1k strength and 7 at 1.2k and with the violent slam jewel if you have extra sockets I think with the slam recovery speed and damage the zombies could be a great source of damage and survivability almost like 7 mini ancestral warchief totems that leach life for you.

I saw that some people were using Geofri's for this kind of build and I realize it can provide a lot of eHP, but for Spectral Throw, it would be a bit harder to get the correct combination of socket colors, and I can get a lot of armour from a hybrid AR/EV chest + Iron Reflexes. A rare chest can also have a Strength roll. Geofri's is still a nice option, but if you're going to use Shaper's Touch with it, that's another slot where you could be getting Strength. You probably end up with more eHP but a bit less damage and a hybrid HP pool.

thinking of doing a variant of your build as my second char in legacy.

using your tree with geofri's and shaper's touch, with semi-good gear in other slots, i'm at 1250 str, 6100 life and 3350 ES in Path of Building, without discipline. i don't think this is to be sniffed at! using belly and iron reflexes only nets me another 1.5k base armour. also we get a lot of mana from the gloves.
getting 3 green on geofri's chest basically cost 120 chrome on vorici bench and other 2/3 sockets should hopefully roll red red blue.

what level are you now and how is it going?

edit: just seen another comment about not getting enough attack speed, is 3 aps not enough?
i don't really like "melee" builds so if it's lame i'm not going to bother running this for sunder/eq/ice crash
