How is ssf going for u guys/girls? ^^

Lvl 92... Hooray!
I'm sitting comfortably in t8-12 maps, still have a ton of red maps to unlock.
And a couple holes in my atlas.

I've spent about 600 alteration orbs and a couple dozen regals and scouring orbs today, trying to craft a >300 DpS onehanded axe on the base of an ilvl 84 I found in a unique map.
Saw 170% damage a couple times, but the regal didn't give me a sweet flat roll, and the mastercraft isn't enough to drop my shittalking Jack the Axe.

I love SSF. I "waste" so much currency (compared to trading), but it just feels better.

I never saw a use for a +1 Tabula. I would have a use for a Tabula in a fresh league on a fresh character (if I played them) but it wouldn't be a good idea to vaal it.

Any use for a Tabula beyond the short levelling use would be to test gem set ups for which a +1 would give wrong values.

I always saw the divine a Tabula will give without risk as far better than the possibility of losing the divine when the upside is +1 gem or +1res on an item I would only level with.

whats a short leveling use tho ? in an environment like a temp league where one doesnt have a wide variety of six links or even 5 links to choose from, a +1 tabula will last you ages, especially in spellcaster setups

+1 skill gems especially if you have an empower makes any spell leveling a joke. if you can sustain mana cost, you just one shoot anything (including yourself possibly) through all difficulties until maps with just the tabula.

literally used it from normal and now into midmerc and will use it up until maps. can even get away with absolute shit resists unless you miss a reflect mob or do breaches.

Like I said, I'd rather have the guaranteed divine than a +1 Tabula that is completely unnecessary while levelling and, imo, subpar because of lack of stats later.

I'm aware what +1 gives, especially with empower. But it still isn't even a debate to me.

Every Tabula that drops is either

+1 divine

or

-1 vaal +1 divine

or

-1 vaal 0 divine

or

A rare chance of being -1 vaal, 0 divine, an item I won't use much if at all.

I used to vaal Tabulas, I vaaled maybe the first 5 or so, then I thought 'wait, why am I doing this?'

Would I buy a +1 gem Tabula from a vendor for 10 divines and 20 vaals (for example)? No.

Is the chance I'd get a +1 gem Tabula before losing 10 divines and 20 vaals? No, I guess.

I could make those arbitrary currency amounts a lot less and the answer would still be no.

In summary I decided it was not a good thing to do. I can totally accept if other people feel different, but I responded to someone asking 'who doesn't vaal their Tabulas after the first' and the answer was, me.

I'm 100% sure that would be the case in a 3 month league, too.

the thing is, all you need is one vaaled tabula and you just stop vaaling after and sell for divines. but we can agree to disagree ;)

Hit a massive motivational slump with my block gladiator, lacking stats to use the gems that i want and BF doesnt feel that good honestly. Doesnt really help that the crit stuff is somewhen in the 80ies, and my sword is kind of meh for crit (even though it sits at a decen 320 pdps).
So i decided that i am not struggling through content with him for now. Which seems to be a thing with me this league. I mean, look how many characters i abandoned at 70 ish.

I could roll another throwaway EQ slayer to pass my time, but i decided that i'd rather roll with a pizzastick inquisitor to farm aziri and some breachlords that have been piling up. I could have easily done them on my EQ slayer before he died, but after a crash in the middle of a domain (which fucking hurts on SSF) i was too scared to try any more of them.

We'll see how it pans out overall. Planning a pious path hybrid with the gifts from above ring, should at least be mechanically interesting.

Me too. Yesterday sucked. Over-extended my character and ended up dying 3x in a row in a T7 map to a particularly nasty Essence mob.

Lost the map and 30% of a bar. Not fun.

Just reached L85 with some bad luck over finding the same ascendancy trials over and over again. RNG crucial progress choke points don't suit SSF at all. The same goes for Navali's prophecies. I did score some ancient reliquary keys along the way though to ease my frustration.

Seems like I'm starting to hit a wall with my whispering ice build.

Did pier boss yesterday and couldn't facetank him. Didn't die to him though, but if I can't even facetank a T8 boss then higher tiers will probably be too difficult too if I don't find gear upgrades.

I also really need one of the STR->INT jewels for all those nodes on the way to unwavering chance.

Or maybe I should just reroll into elementalist and transfer all my gear.

I'm slowly progressing in SSF.

Though... Gearing up is being a total nightmare... Seems all the loot I get either has decent resists on it OR decent life.

No inbetween... So I have to choose to cap resists or get much needed life for my RF Scion...

Also, every freaking weapon keeps being ruined by the stupidest amounts of flat fire damage. Like a 2-4 roll. God damn, I can't use it because EE game! (So many good % fire damage mods had to go to the vendor because stupid flat damage...)

Also, farming Prophecies to try and see if I can get some of my many uniques fated (Could really do with getting The Oak... At least until I can farm T9 Temple for RotP cards)

But yeah... That gear issue... Sitting at like 4.7k at level 77 with a TON of life nodes taken *Sigh* Not even resist capped across the board either (Like 75/75/63. Well, Fire is a bit higher due to cap increases because RF)...

At least I have enough regen to maintain RF at the moment. With Trickster and End Charge regen being net gain (It's just single target fights that suck... Not enough sustain there when it's like a pitiful amount baseline and then just Enduring Cry...)

On a side note... Everything has awful socket colours on... Still running 3L RF because no decent 4L's dropped and Chromatic Orbs hate me.

Oh well. Next few levels will be cool, working on Aura node to get my increased effect and mana reservation to the point where PoF will get an extra max resist % and I'll be able to run Flammability with Blas.

Never had any trouble capping the resists SSF, even though I'm wearing a ton of uniques without resists.

4.7k life at 77 seems pretty solid.

And at 77, I'd just farm dried lake. Shouldn't take too long to get to 80+.
