" Death's Door are hardly a requirement - you just have to be more cautious with bleed (have a bleed flask on hand). Regarding Presence of Chayula, all you really NEED this for is the cannot be stunned, which Eye of Chayula will do just fine for (as the guide says). Presence just gives you a bunch of ES beyond what Eye of Chayula does. Last edited by jdean300 on Oct 9, 2017, 12:08:45 PM

Just hit lvl 90 yesterday - my first lvl 90 characters since I played this game lol.
And I would like to share some tips with the guys who are still new to this build so you can have more fun from it. Ahfack has answered a lot of detailed questions on tree, skill and gear so I would like to provide something else. For people who feel they are not tanky enough: One thing important is that you cannot always count on the gear to save you, especially in the case you have not got the best ones. A lot of dmg can be avoided if you play smartly and here are some examples: 1. Never charge directly into a crowd of mobs with nemesis mod (those purple mobs) or if your map has mods like +% critical chance/multiplier. Instead, you can charge around the crowd, maintaining fortify on you and EE on mobs and avoid being hit/shot simultaneously by several enemies. 2. Make sure you recognize the mobs that can potentially bleed/freeze you and use your flasks beforehand. As you are usually charging around, bleeding can kill you in a second. It is always recommended to use a "bleeding removal" flask when facing mobs with nemesis mods. 3. In high-level maps, you can use concentrated effects during map-clearing to kill mobs faster and use increased AOE on the boss to have more flexibility in dodging its devastating strikes. There is no rule about when you should use what, find what fits your play best. 4. Make sure you over-cap your fire res so a flammability curse or an elemental weakness map mod will not get you killed quickly. 5. Shieldcharge+fortify+faster attacks really work well with this build, just make sure you have a + xx cold/lightning dmg (not fire) mod on your rings to trigger EE. 6. Put a flask has mod "remove ignite/burning" on you to turn off your RF whenever your ES goes very low (like when you take a critical hit from the boss). This saved me so many times. For people who are seeking gear upgrade: I am not very well geared and may not have solid exp to share. While personally, I feel I have experienced three important stages of gear upgrade and each stage gave me a big boost in the gaming experience. 1. From life build to LL/ES build. So If you are still hesitating about switching to LL/ES, I would recommend you start getting your shavs and other ES gears and do it. It gives the first significant boost on the dmg and survival due to the large ES pool and only the LL version works with the most important, 4-point ascendency of guardian. You should be able to easily clear maps under T10 and fine for T11 and T12 with caution after the switch. 2. Presence of chayula. This amulet boosted my ES pool from ~6k to 8k and significantly increased the RF dmg. You should be able to easily clear maps under T13 after your ES reached 8k. 3. A pair of delirium gloves. What I did is to buy an essence of delirium (~35 chaos), go to a T15 map and farmed an ES glove (ilevel 84) and use the essence on it.Got a pair with ~100 es (Luck? not so sure). Thank god we run a lot of auras to boost resistance so it is fine I actually got no res from the gloves. This whole process results in -300ES but another great boost on the RF dmg. Now I have run T15 maps several times with no problem (face tanking kaom), can run T13 or lower with the monitor turned off (just kidding). The next important stage might be the change of rotp to a rare shield and improve ES to ~10k, while...not in close recent. BTW I am not able to sustain all the auras listed by the author yet. I am still relying on vertex and empower to get my purity of fire to lvl 23. So I kicked out the purity of lightning (since we got a +1 max from the tree, should be safer than taking out purity of ice) and run:discipline, purity of fire/ice, arctic armour, vitality and clarity with lvl 2 enlighten and lvl3 empower, with about 10 life (lol) and 63 mana left. Still, 6 auras to make the best use of the ascendency. I put a lvl 17 purity of lightning in the bag so if I am facing a lightning-dmg boss I can turn off purity of ice and replace clarity with purity of lightning. Working well so far so good, the beauty of this game is, you can always make changes to your build to make the best use of what you have. Cheers. IGN: MidNightess

" I have to say I really like what you got going on here. I may follow this if I can get enough dex from items! HOw does MoM work though with all our mana basically reserved? Do we basically go manaless everytime we get hit and just have to have good regen? |

" SO THAT'S WHY THAT ASSHOLE WITH THE LIGHTNING SHOT WAS KILLING ME instantly, holy fuck. I was wondering why I couldn't get past him when I tried HoGM the other day. Fucking hell, lol. |

Level 85 now. Definitely one of my most relaxing and fun builds. Definitely going to finish this out to end of league as I'm a bit tired of my Cycloner's squishyness in certain situations.
I had gear that I liquidated (woo love when people pay exorbitant amounts for perfectly rolled items. Got 20ex from my 40% belly). So my view is slightly skewed as I went LL ASAP. I would say I invested close to 15ex to get all the gear together. Maybe a bit less as I spent 2-3 ex buying jewels/gloves/rings to craft. RIP, should have just bought them off poe.trade but I was stubborn to get exactly what I wanted. Still didn't end up quite right. Generally just gonna focus on getting gems up and getting the mana reservation enchant so I can run clarity. Mana regen is still sort of an issue for me as I can't just AFK hold down SR. I could just swap PoL or PoI depending on the situation but I'm just lazy. RF + EE pretty much eliminates any trash while a bit of SR downs most map bosses/rares easily. Sitting at about 8.6k ES. All maxed res, 55% chaos resist which is not too shabby. General thoughts, - Leveling can be done with RF if you invest a bit in some starter uniques. Basically let me level with RF for the most part and just AFK/shield charge through everything and RF just passively kills. A lot of the gear aside from Presence and Shav's is actually pretty cheap. Maybe 3.0 ES nerfs made a lot of things I feel underpriced. Rings I got for about 1ex a piece. Belt was 1 ex. Gloves actually I got for 50c which I thought was ridiculous. Still playing around with the passive tree. Haven't decided if I want to go with Derptimes or Ahfacks or do a hybrid. I like the idea of alchemist with the increase dura of flasks and all that jazz but there's just not enough points to go around (I'd have to lose the arsonsist cluster IIRC) I'll play around a bit more with the tree tonight in PoB to compare. |

Up to 88, almost 89 now, REALLY enjoying this spec a lot. My luck also seems to have taken a turn for the better & got Kaom's Heart two days in a row. So now that I have some currency, I'm debating what to upgrade next. Looking for some suggestions. Here's what I'm currently using:
I have a Vertex that I tried using, since people said it would allow us to run all our aura's without a reduced mana cost helm enchant. However, I wasn't able to do so with mine. Is that because I only have a +2 enlighten? I know that my gloves, belt & rings are the biggest things to upgrade. I'm just curious if people think going Death's Door is worth the investment or not. Cause if I bought those boots, it would mean not being able to upgrade my rings/belt until I got more currency. Oh & lastly, you can see the current belt I linked as the one I'm using. However, I crafted this one yesterday & I'm debating selling it, or using it. Thoughts? It has only cold res, shit roll too & no open slots for more res. | |
" Great job! Nice notes for leveling too, will add this to reviews <3 🎆🎆 www.youtube.com/c/Ahfack

" Both belts are decent, but I think the belt you've got equipped currently is more useful. Yes, you need a higher level enlighten in your vertex to achieve all the auras, and of course to put 3 auras in the helm. Do Death door after you already got a good es pool. Just be very cautious about bleed, and keep that bleed flask full and ready to use if you see your ES starting to drop rapidly. Death Door also has much less ES than rare boots, so they are really meant to be used when you're already established and comfortable, and trying to finish achieving god status. 🎆🎆 www.youtube.com/c/Ahfack

"MoM only works when you take damage to your _Life_. The node itself essentially does nothing at all for this build, what you're interested in are the nodes behind it (fat juicy mana nodes). Last edited by Derptime on Oct 11, 2017, 11:31:08 PM
