Glad to hear it helped! Sorry for not replying to your PM right away.

Really it's just a case of two main things for your case I think;

• Be clear that you don't know which e-mail was used, and that it may no longer exist.
• Give them any information you can regarding the account to help them track it down.

They've been absolutely flooded with e-mails since FoO launched, so they'll be trying to work through each one pretty quickly and are probably more prone to misinterpreting stuff as a result.

I know an initial response not being helpful can be a bit disheartening, but I don't think they were trying to get rid of you. If you try again I'm sure they'll help you out as soon as they can.

If the game is not available through Steam in your region, then it's not worth linking your accounts. I'll add a note to the thread that it may be restricted in some areas.

It's possible to circumvent geo-restrictions, though I'm not entirely certain about the legality of that. It also may mean worse latency if it alters your internet traffic's routing at all.

This whole thing is incredibly unclear about what happens if you already have poe through steam.

It's frankly deeply absurd that it's even possible to play poe through steam without a poe account being created.

How is that even possible? Does this mean there are actually 3 accounts? A game login, a forum login, and a steam login?

Why is anything ever in a position to get deleted? My god the incompetence. It's just a database merger.

You'd think with the EA levels of income they are making from all these loot crate equivalents they could spend some time debugging. I mean come on, the flask doesn't even have a move sound still, and you can't control click into and out of the guild stash.

This linking garbage is inexcusable.

There are PoE accounts with an e-mail and password, and PoE accounts created through Steam.

No. There's no such thing as a "forum account" - you created a different account on the website, and the website has no way of knowing which other accounts are yours. The most common reason for this is people playing through Steam and not knowing they can log into the website using Steam. Please see this screenshot of the website's log in page.

All you need to do is log out of the website, and then log in using your real account.

Nothing is ever deleted, however if you create a new PoE account and link it to your Steam account, your Steam account will then log into that new account instead of the one it currently logs into.

No. Each Steam account can only be linked to a single Path of Exile account. If you link your Steam account to the account you use on the forum, it will override the current link between your Steam account and the account you play on. Your Steam account would then log into the account you have on the forum, which probably has no characters, achievements or MTX.
