So sad that there are so many people only playing for 'standing out'. You are a very sad individual because you cut out fun out of games. Have you ever built up 300 ex for a build just to have it worthless half a year later?
That shit is a huge blow and it isnt fair to have a huge sucker punch to your wallet. Cospri hit me fairly hard on standard when I bought it for 21 ex then it dropped to like 5 ex weeks later. I am so sick and fucking tired of buying fun items to later have them devalued. If you think this ok, then good for you, I am glad you didnt spend a shit ton of currency on a build just to have it be useless due to kneejerk "balance"

I mean, look what I spent fucking 100 exalts on. I added the crown in while most wont believe this, it was a 100 ex item at one point. Guess what these are both worth now?

I've been thinking that the essence mechanics just don't appear often enough since breach started, particularly compared to prophecy, as the whole point of them was to encourage crafting at lower levels. While it seems unlikely for Legacy mechanics to stick around after the league it's nice to be able to boost their appearance, hopefully from early on.
In general it's looking like a great league.
Now excuse me while I nerd-out over 'shiny' uniques.

I totally understand your frustration. I have legacy items etc.
BUT I think this change is a great thing.
I've always thought legacy items were stupid in standard.
TO me, standard league is where I can do godly stuff, experience insane builds etc.
I always believed/thought they should never "legacy" items in standard.
like
in standard mode, legacy items should stay unchanged. so any drops would be legacy quality.
anything from new leagues , like balanced items should be able to use divine orb to brught them up to legacy.
something like that.
