Pages from the Upcoming Path of Exile Art Book
" When you are against slavery, you don't enjoy getting dressed like a slave master. When you are against murder, you don't enjoy getting dressed like a murderer. When you are against fascism and censorship, you don't enjoy getting dressed like a nazi. A nazi represents fascism, that's what people see. You're just seeing it as cool banned clothing. Banning fascism and nazism refering clothes behaviors and activities,is not fascism. Going around in public wearing nazi suits is not a protest against fascism. You don't get that and want to talk about reasoning and arguments? You will be the stupidest nazi dressed person ever walked the earth if your point will be to fight censorship, that i guarantee. And i never made any absolute statements about right or wrong before, what is it you want me to prove? My dislike to nazi drawings? Or that nazis censored to death anyone not belonging to the arian race? |

oh boy, alot of triggered people in this thread.
I like the art GGG, keep em coming. |

" I'm not so sure. If you remember the stained glass windows from the last art book preview, there were two, very similar symbols. The one with a vertical line through it is the Descry, and that's the one on Templar symbols, Tempest Shield, Immortal Cry, etc. Without the vertical line, it is a different symbol (a "Scry"?), one we've only seen before on Innocence (from the stained glass drawings). I think we're looking at two different religions, with the Templar / Oriath religion being a reaction or rejection from the religion of Innocence. In any case, I think it's interesting. Keep up the good work, GGG! |

" Listen to that guy boys and girls^^ I like him! |

(after reading through 20+ pages of "It's offensive" -- "No, it's a computer game, get over it!")
While I have no problem with fighting villains that look like Nazis in a computer game, I think the people calling it Immersion Breaking are onto something ... I hope GGG takes a different approach, because seeing these guys appear on the screen may well break my concentration. I'm looking for Sword & Sorcery killfest, not a Nazi (or really close to Nazi) killfest. Games about fighting Nazis are fine, but (until Act 5, at least) this isn't one, and it's not what I come here for. I hope the good people at GGG give the immersion factor some thought, and improve it as they are able. I still think the duelling Descry/Scry religions angle is potentially interesting. Good luck, GGG. |

" +1 - This guy has got the right idea. |
|
" +1 Exactly the point here. Just drowning in pointless fights I fear. I came here to drink milk and kick ass...and I've just finished my milk.

OT: Oh god. Some have a go in here. Don't act so sensitive people, it almost seems like you have experienced the WIWO yourself. Responding like this would be kind of unfair to ones who actually experienced it, don't you think? This dark historical event has nothing to do with this new art of a dude wearing a red black band of a video game. Get to your senses, please.
OT: Hype for act 5! Can't wait. |

And here we are again facing the "political correct"
So from now on, anything that reminds us of any historical event that was bad like genocides, bombing, drug, etc can't be implemented in a game? So no Pablo Escobar, no hiroshima, no nazi, no russian communists should have anything related in a game? Come on people, just say what you think, get a grip and move on, don't be a sissy mimimi. Maybe GGG will just change the red for another color so you stop complaining like a girl. But don't come complaining that will be similar to Star trek or Star Wars. Nothing is ever good. A lot more things are being modified instead of created. :) .:It's never too late to become what you might have been:. |
