Donald Trump and US politics

Yeah. It's projection.

Yeah. It's projection.
That was easy.

Too easy.

I've never seen a US President so obsessed with anything other being a US President. Almost a year in and he's still just deflecting, misdirecting and distracting.

I mean, it's sort of obvious why he's unable to just get on with the job. The guy can't stand any sort of history that portrays him as the bad guy and yet he's utterly incapable of admitting he was wrong or even just saying 'fuck it, we'll let that one go, let's get on with business'. The fact that he attacked that poor Gold Star wife AGAIN when all he had to damn well do was let it go (if he couldn't apologise for the potential misunderstanding, if we must call his callous lack of empathy that) more than proves how petty and needy he is. It backfired, of course, because if there's one thing a US President can't do, it's flub publicly and repeatedly and hope it gets swept under the rug.

Also, he has nothing *now*. He's mostly just coasting along with what Obama started with the hard push against ISIS -- and, showing yet again the one area where he has a modicum of respect for others, allows his generals to do their job without micromanagement. Lovely. But it's still not *his* victory. He just picked up the baton and kept running.

All he has now is scandals and missteps. Pretty fucking pathetic when a US President has to tweet 'DO SOMETHING' in all caps over *anything*. All that power, all that clout...and he's reduced to that. What a sham. And over what? Oh yeah. The fact that the valid investigation into possible Russia/Trump collusion is gaining steam over the equally valid but far, FAR LESS RELEVANT investigation over Hillary's own possible shady goings-ons. And why is it less relevant? Because she isn't President. Simple. She is not and likely never will be held to the same standard as the one who won the race. When we investigate potential cheating in a race, it's always the winner who will be scrutinised more...because they are the ones who gained the most from a potentially illegal advantage.

DO SOMETHING. LOL. Pathetic.

Charan... I've rarely seen you write so little with so many words. I just popped onto this thread to see why it's still going -- if there might be anything intelligent being said. I thought to myself, "Well, Charan posted, so... maybe, at least, there's some well articulated sentiment worth mulling over."

But no. I mean, you could've TL;DR'd yourself with, "I dislike Trump's use of Twitter; it seems pathetic to me. Also, boo@ him in general," and it would've pretty much connoted everything you expressed. :P

Not. You've definitely seen me say less with more. You just might not have recognised it.
I am not and never will be the sort of poster that uses 'as few words as possible'. I save that sort of reservation for where and when it's needed. I don't really give a fuck where you stand politically, but you're definitely shitting the bed when you say I'm somehow disinclined to post engorged, charged rants, which are by their very nature 'more than they need to be'. So stop that.

Spoiler
guh-ross.

But you're prob right about this: You might just write too much too often when you really don't have anything (much) to say. I won't argue with you. :)

Charan writes dreamcatchers. There's a little bit of substance and a whole lot of invitation to project yourself into the narrative. It's a lot more noticeable of a style when the dissonance between Charan's substance and your projection is palpable.

He should switch to songwriting. His technique works great on lyrics.

... it SHOULD work for you; I was merely agreeing with your own assertion of being needlessly verbose.

I'm more concerned with his feckless, ad-hominem assaults of "Little Rocket Man" than with who gets credit for what (re:ISIL), or what his attitudes regarding his service to the Nation are.

This never gets old. You can almost see the 'wtf are you on about you fucking loon' zipping about in Hillary's brain.

And you still voted for it. LOL.

He gave us the Cyber Barron meme. Very nice of him. In the meantime Hillary fought against green frog memes.

One of the most relevant parts of his Presidency are his dealings with North Korea.

I guess the more vaudevillian things surrounding his Presidency might be sexier to lament over?

"Oh no, he said to 'DO SOMETHING' on Twitter. Gasp!"
